And now there is diminishing returns on that big investment.

G is right...at some point you just have to bail out of it, like Marcus and me (for the most part).

But if someone "new' to this thread, or "new" to quoting me, I'm likely to engage.

I hope this clears it up for you.

I also hope I have clarified my stance on the matter. Drunk drivers don't get excused just because I admonish "distracted" and "reckless" drivers too. Here in Tampa Bay....I4 corridor is an absolute nightmare...and I assure you they ain't all drunk. I think in Pinellas county (clearwater /St Pete) we have on average 50 crashes per day, usually a couple severe injuries and fatalities.
The new local overhead LED alert signs do their best to remind drivers about both drunk and distracted driving.

Both are a problem. Both could be HUGELY reduced if drivers would take it more seriously and not some play toy. I think their victims would agree.

In re-reading my posts and our exchange, it now appears to me that I mis-interpreted your initial response. Given my disdain for drunk driving and reading people's responses like, "he wasn't trashed" and others saying they didn't think he was under the influence; I got pissed off. When your initial response was "Right At least 50% of fatalities are caused by completely sober drivers.", I thought you were being sarcastic. My apologies.
