How confident are that the Cowboys have turned it around for 2026?

All we have added are rookies ....... I do not think rookies get a 7 win team in the playoffs in their first year.
Yep, and people are acting like we just went on a 1994 49ers cap cheating shopping spree and added 10 pro bowlers and all pros.

This team isn't even going to have a winning record much less be a contender.

I think Jerry is THE biggest problem this team has every year. But even a blind squirrel gets a nut once in a blue moon. That’s my hope anyway, lol.
30 years isn't a big enough sample for you?

The math geeks told you last year that any person on earth has a 98.2% chance to do better than Jerry given the same 30 year period to be GM.

Why do you refuse to accept the truth - that the Cowboys simply cannot compete at championship levels as long as Jerry holds the team hostage?

It should be clear to everyone that it is impossible to win with Jerry as your GM. Frankly, I have to question your cognitive abilities if 30 years is somehow not enough to get it through to you by now.

I accept that Jerry is a lousy GM and the biggest impediment to success around here. I’ve taken my share of heat for my Jerry critiques. Yes he sucks as a GM. The results speak for themselves.

If you read my original post on this thread, I’m not predicting anything that says this team is going to the SB or anything close. I did say I need to see some regular season evidence before deciding what this team will be.

Is this team better than last year? In many ways it appears to me to be more talented. Does that mean I’m predicting playoff glory? No. But IMO just saying what happened the last thirty years closes any discussion seems short sighted. But I don’t fault any Cowboys fan for feeling as you do. It’s understandable.

Having hope that we get lucky despite Jerry Jones is not something I’m ashamed to say. I’m not “buying in” to the annual hype. Again, I’m just hoping we get lucky.

We shall see. They arguably are better than who we had .

Regardless you said we were totally dependent on Rookies which simply wasn’t a true statement .
Jeebus

Ok ...... let me clarify ...... The only substantial upgrades we have made are rookies since last season.

Better?

This is the most sensible approach IMO.

Don’t understand why people bother watching or following the team if they feel there’s a 0.00% chance of success.

Whatever. I wouldn’t have responded if you hadn’t made an incorrect t statement . Just admit you made a mistake and move on. No biggy. We all make mistakes .

Because we are diehard loyal fans . Do you follow and or watch your kids if you know they are going to lose ?

Understandable. But what makes this all so fun is we have to wait until this all plays out.

He's not blind. He's a sabertooth.

I think we all are suspect and realize Jethro is the greatest obstacle to overcome presenting a historic hindrance.

That said the word never is commonly used by Trolls as a talking point . It’s effective until it’s done. The Romo and Dak trolls use the never which for one turned out to be true while other is pending and the Cowboys trolls can use it as well.

No-one could possibly hate Jethro more than I do. And I’d bet big money as long as Jethro is GM it won’t happen. But never is a different level. No one can know for sure.

And I totally agree with Bobhaze that despite the odds stacked against us with Jethro at the helm there remains a slimmer of hope we might could assemble enough talent. Or just get lucky. Doesn’t mean we are building optimism , etc but just stating the reality of the situation.

'All' is not accurate in my opinion. I believe practically everyone (not all) perceives Jerry Jones as problematic in how the front office operates month-to-month, season-to-season. I do not believe all or even most observers feel Jones indirectly or even directly influences wins and losses.

Some members have voiced their disagreement that Jones' managerial responsibilities and/or actions carry significant weight in what happens on the field. More than a few have occasionally said he is not even the team's real general manager. Additionally, there remains the contention that Jones does not negatively affect the work environment of his organization intangibly.

I do think some exclusively attribute game-day results primarily to the players and coaches...but not equally to the single individual who put those players and coaches on the field and sidelines. In truth, this is nitpicking, but sometimes an adjective does not mean what it should mean.

I am waiting for Jerry to shed his mortal coil and see if it gets better .......
I did not make a mistake ....... at best we just replaced the players we lost with the same caliber of players.

But sure ...... Whatever.

Well, ultimately even Jethro takes full responsibility. And only quoting part of the entire thought dilutes the overall message and point.

We can directly hold him accountable which as much as I despise his ways admire he doesn’t avoid responsibility.

In the end regardless of the impacts on individual details as you have eloquently pointed out the buck still stops with him.

And I’d argue all fans see this. If not they should:)

Technically you did by stating we only replaced defensive talent with rookies. Despite your intentions this was an incorrect statement you’re unwilling to admit for whatever reason.

Holly Larry, it's like you don't pay any attention whatsoever.
