The new defense can tackle

I feel a lot of it has to do with the scheme. CP playing a vanilla version of it as well is exciting. We all here so used to read and react but this D is designed to attack and dictate what the offense can do not wait for them to make mistakes.

I was told by many posters that the reason for that is because of talent and not coaching as a defense for eberflus. Hmmmm oh well
HA yeah I remember going back and forth last year with my pops on this a lot I refused to believe that Eberflus was not THE main problem.

If CP turns this defense in a 10-20 rank defense he MAY be gone to be a HC next season. If makes this unit a top 10 unit he WILL be gone next year to be a HC.

It's not the reason for missed tackles. No it's not due to talent. You learn tackling in pop warner
And when you get on the pro level, you know how to make them if you get yourself in the right position. Good coaching can help players get in the right position. Bad talent can get players out of position. It's not all on the coaching. Eberflus has coached good tackling defenses before. In fact, he earned praise as a linebackers coach, which got him the DC job in Indy, which got him the head coaching job in Chicago.

We had a bad defense last year. Some of that was on the talent and some of that was on the coaching.

Not sure what my expectations were for a preseason game, but that would definitely be in the top three for a successful debut.

My guess is we'll also get to start a season with our defense not crying about how hard it is to understand.
