Game Day Cowboys vs Seahawks Preseason Game

Also want to throw this out there, I had to watch the Seattle broadcast of the game on NFL Network.

And Michael Robinson and whoever the woman was calling the game was one of the worst broadcasting pair I have ever heard.

Robinson also pointed out to us that Dak has had great running games going back to DeMarco Murray. Murray left the Cowboys when Dak was a senior at Mississippi State, but hey, why research anything before going on the air?
You do realize that we're watching a preseason game full of a lot of backups including the media who get their experience doing the preseason games.. It is what it is I watched the first half not the second.. Go back and watch it but I got enough highlights from game night or whatever they have after it is about watching the young players second year players.

What I got from this is they would make a big mistake right now I know we need more of camp and more preseason but so far from all the practices the scrimmages and the games this running back that we're naming Izzy because I can't pronounce his last name but Israel Whatever this dude looks like a combination of Mafa with the power but he has the moves like Davis at that size I'm not sure that he shouldn't be Right now being looked at for the backup running back, That's nothing against Blue he should not have been used as a starter I don't know what they're trying to do maybe trying to work the fumbles out of him He should not be running between the tackles on like 17 different handoffs it's almost like they were just throwing away drives to try to get him some work..

However this guy is big and can move Not quite as fast as Blue but Blue should still be our change of pace guy he should work himself in the special teams but I'm telling you right now this guy Izzy they will make a mistake letting this guy go..

Or putting him on the practice squad he has enough size that they he can run on all three downs but he's got enough speed to be different than Williams you know coming in to back him up not saying he's replacing William I'm saying he should be number two I like Davis but this guys big and he can move like Davis...

I don't think the team believes he can't play, just that he's not ideal. You are always looking for those elements: Speed, power, elite elusiveness. Blue brings the speed. Mafah provides the power. But neither appears to be a complete back like Davis has shown himself to be.
Why not Abanikanda? He looked real good last night and has a high workload resume. He's a damn good RB.

I completely agree. The kid was a stud RB @ Pitt and I felt the 'Boys should have drafted him a few years ago. I mean he went off for huge games (200-250 yard efforts) multiple times. He can run the rock.

I thought he was the second-best back last night. I just don't think we need to carry three guys who are essentially the same, between the tackles runners (Williams, Davis, Abanikanda). Unless Blue just looks this preseason like he's a bust, I think you've got to give his speed a chance. Abanikanda likely would make it back to the practice squad.

So will Malik Davis. There is four years of proof.

Agreed, but I think he's still our second-best back ... and I've seen nothing from Mafah that says he wouldn't make it to the practice squad. At least Davis has some good NFL regular-season film for teams to consider.
