Offensive Tackle Drew Shelton

All this talk about keeping which receivers on the roster, the Cowboys better get serious about their OLine and its depth or it won’t matter. Somewhere Bill Parcells is laughing his a** off.
I don't think they aren't serious about it, good OTs just aren't available.

The Cowboys' interior depth is one of, if not the, best in football, and while the starting OTs aren't very good, the depth there isn't really different than anyone else.

Anyone watch him last night? He was terrible. 3rd stringers were working him over. Discouraged about that debut. They need OTs to step up.

Any thoughts?
I just went back and rewatched the first half focusing on Shelton. Maybe what you saw was in the 2nd half, because i didn't see anything that bad in the first half. Does he look like he needs to get stronger. Probably. That's not unusual for a rookie.

What I saw was a rookie playing in his first NFL pre-season game. At times I think he was unsure of his assignment but overall I thought he did an adequate job. Again this is just the first half. I will watch the second half again when I have time.

My overall assessment is he was not terrible as you describe. Again, that's just the first half.

Prepare. It was bad.

The box score doesn’t show it either.

Dallas gave up 0 sacks on the night.

That includes Drew Shelton.

Although Drew Shelton played right tackle at Penn State, he primarily played left tackle. My hope is that his cross-training at both positions at the NFL level will get smoother as time passes. This offensive line needs more starter-level quality opinions at both positions.
It’s a mess. 8(

His technique was awful. I was rewinding the game and wondering if that was his first game on the offensive line. It was really bad.
Agreed. Drew Shelton looked as if he had never played on the offensive line ever before. He looked totally lost. What a waste of a pick.

Why? Serious question. Given all 4 OT's are returning from a dynamic offense that put up big numbers last year, why?

Nope.
We gonna do this every day?

They also won seven games with a healthy QB. Don’t tell me about defense, that’s not what I’m talking about.
