Would you Trade Milton?

Wont happen ...... Dak does not play in the preseason like Romo did.
Yeah, there's that. Has a starting QB played in the preseason since 2016? Don't think so. But there's always week 1 for an unfortunate mishap.... :muttley: (I'm just kidding......)

I dont think any team would trade much for him right now. Not sure he gets a chance to be a starter in dallas either though. I expect dak to sign another contract with dallas is hes healthy and wants to play still.

Joe Milton’s stock has never been higher.

He’s obviously a super talented player.

If a QB needy team wanted to do a player trade would you do it?

A Corner or Offensive Tackle on a Rookie deal or a affordable Vet who is above average?

I think I’d pass because QBs are so important but if you’re wanting to go all in then that’s really going all in.

1 more corner on defense would be huge for this team too.
It sounds like you don't think he can be a quality starter someday. If the coaches feel the same way, then absolutely trade him if you can get great value. Howell is a decent backup. Personally, I would lean towards keeping the guy.

Milton is still unproven.

They can't get a starting caliber CB for a guy that had 4 good quarters of preseason games.
I agree for the most part, but have you seen some of the QB's starting right now? To be fair to Milton he's never been seen as a bad player, just a really gifted guy who needs development. Don't think for a second a team like the Browns won't be stupid, because they're notorious for it.

Recent Even Years for Dak Prescott
  • 2020 - missed 11 games
  • 2022 - missed 5 games
  • 2024 - missed 9 games
  • 2026 - missed ? games

In fact, may want to carry 4 quarterbacks ...
This is why they need to keep Milton and Howell.

But yes, I would trade Milton for Brooks or Crosby, or a1st round pick.

Yeah people are bugging. Let’s remember he had an actually good regular season game under his belt before we traded for him. I don’t believe preseason improved trade value.

from the looks of it he is developing nicely so NO!

Maybe for a 1st round pick or an All-Pro right tackle. Anything short of those offers, I’d have to say no. The scary fact is that if Dak goes down the season would be lost. Milton has shown glimpses that he may be able to fill that role if Dak goes down. That’s what an ideal QB2 should be. No only that, he has shown the potential to push Dak.

I do..

But..

This is the time to go all in.

How many more years does Dak have?

Are they gonna let Dak go for Milton? Highly unlikely..

The timing for Milton to be a starter for us just doesn’t fit unless Dak gets hurt & Milton go on a absolute heater like Dak did.

Of course you would want to trade Milton. Wouldn't want to make your boyfriend feel threatened, right?

You keep Milton to eventually replace your hero. At least that's the hope.
Well... yeah. When you have a luxury (like we do at the QB spot) you try to make up for a deficit. I think we definitely can trade Milton for a Right Tackle for instance. We don't have a Right Tackle.

And we could use a better leading pass rusher than Otito Ogbonnia, for example. Doesn't have anything to do with Dak's hero status......just has to do with the fact that, as always, I'm simply naming and acclaiming Top 5 QB as a Top 5 QB.

Sounds reasonable to me
