It was a good practice. Number one offense was killing it in red zone. Number twos were back and forth....with Howell and Milton making some nice throws. Later 11 on 11 the #1 defense rallied and made three stops in a row at one point.
Kind of went back and forth after that. A good play by the offense would be countered by a good play by the defense.
Lot of talk about QB....the commentators all pretty much felt that Milton has been a little better overall than Howell but Howell has guaranteed money and it could be the deciding factor. I can't imagine them keeping Howell over Milton over dollars that amount to less than 1 percent of the cap. Milton will never make it to the PS.
Also a lot of mentions about WR...do they keep 5 or 6? Brown continued to make plays during practice. Mingo did have one nice catch that I saw. The top 3 WRs were amazing....catching everything in sight. They are pretty confident that Turpin is #4 no matter what.
Sam Williams had a few nice rushes and they were saying that his Special Teams ability could save him. Mentioned that no one else has blocked punts before or made the kind of plays Sam has there. In many cases they were really pushing ST as being the difference maker.
I think it was Tommy Yarish saying that he thinks there really are only about 6 or 7 spots that are in doubt. Did feel that the backup QB's could decide it based on their play on Friday....it is still open competition. Said they felt like Dallas has seen enough from Lawrence as a pass rusher that they really just want to see him on ST, that is why he didn't play much last week.
