Are Cowboys are the best team in the NFC East right now?

The Giants, are going to be better than the Eagles, LMAO yep, that’s what I believe

Dallas had a best off season, no doubt about that.
All things point to Dallas looking like the best team in the NFCE.

However, until Dallas actually wins the division. Can't truly say they are.

I always felt the gap was not that far apart between the two teams. And Dallas closed that gap, if not surpassed them.
I been saying all off season Philly will take a step back this year. NYG closed that gap as well. I really do not know about Washington. Could they surprise and be like they were 2 years ago,

I would say True.

I think the Eagles offense is going to regress (and it wasn't particularly good last year). Their defense should keep them competitive and they have a pretty easy schedule though.

Well, we can compare the rosters position for position and make an assessment.

QB: Dallas. Dak is simply better that Hurts. For whatever reason, Hurts becomes Superman in the Super Bowl, I admit that. Dak is still better.
RB: Philly. Barkley is better than anyone on our roster, and Bigsby/Shipley is good proven depth. I like Javonte though.
WR: Dallas. CD and Pickens are a top duo in the league. Neither team has good depth. Philly has one proven receiver in Smith.
TE: Philly. Goedart is the best TE of either group, and they have proven, serviceable depth. If Goedart becomes injured, Ferg is the best TE.
OT: Philly. Mailata/Johnson is a top tackle duo in the league, and Fred Johnson, their #1 backup, is better than Steele. Lane Johnson at 50% is better than our tackles.
OG: Dallas. Smith will rebound to AP form and Booker is solid. Dickerson healthy is PB-level player, but Steen has to improve his run blocking.
C: Philly. I am assuming full health for Jurgens. By no means am I saying Beebe is bad, but Jurgens gets to the second level in a way Beebe doesn't. If Jurgens has last year's health, I'd take Beebe. Lampkin is a legit backup for them.

DL: Philly. A rotation of Carter/Davis/Ojomo/Robinson is better than Williams/Clark/Og/Overton. Williams is the best player, but overall I like the Philly group.
LB: Philly. Baun/Campbell/Hunt/Greenard/Trotter Jr./Smith is simply better than Overshown/Eze/Gary/Winters/Miller/Barham/Lawrence. Trotter in particular has really come on and would be our best backup, if not a starter.
CB: Philly. Mitchell/DeJean/Woolen over Bland and the ???'s behind him. Stop the Downs glazing, as he hasn't played a single NFL down yet, while Philly has two AP1 players. I believe Downs will be dominant, but I still have to see him in actual games.
S: Dallas. Philly still sorting out who plays next to Mukuba. Hooker/Thompson have more experience and have proven themselves in games.

K: Dallas. Aubrey over Elliott. No brainer.
P: Dallas. I was going to call this even, as their punter is actually quite good. But screw them.
KR/PR: Dallas. Turpin over anyone they have.

HC: Philly. Yes, Sirianni is a ****** bag, but denying his record is just stupid. Whatever he does usually works.
DC: Philly. Fangio is one of the best this century. Fangio is the Master, Parker the Padawan. Let's hope Parker becomes our Fangio.
OC: Dallas. Results count. We put up points, Philly puts up some points sometimes.

Did the Cowboys do that last year?

When they beat them once and should have beaten them twice ?
Cowboys didn't beat any winning teams last season outside of beating the Eagles once. Them matching up well, doesn't mean they are the better team.

Im
Not so sure anymore. Offensive line getting worse, Barkley a year older and AJ gone….it just doesn’t feel the same. Even a guy like Cooper DeJean I don’t know about anymore.

It’s been so much this offseason maybe I need to see them play in the regular season. It just seems like they got old over night.
Eagles were the opposite of the Cowboys last year with their offense. However, it was more of an underachieving issue rather then talent. Cowboys defense was terrible talent wise.

Nope, not anymore. They did, but they've let a pile of players walk the last couple of offseasons. And it strongly looks as if Hurts has been exposed as the limited passer that he is.

What makes you say their roster is more talented? Because it does not appear to be the case.
Look over their roster, there are zero holes compared to the Cowboys. You can point to our Tackles, corners, but where is the Eagles weak spot? Their QB struggles, but he is a former SB MVP.

Their defense is far superior and still have a ton of playmakers on offense
The defense is not far superior, I don’t even think it’s close
We finally fixed the defensive tackle position, we have two cornerbacks that can compete with there any day, and our safeties are stronger, we just changed our entire defense, I think it’s much better than theirs, and we beat them all the time on offense, and now that we have a defense that can stop them, Jalen hurts sucks

Without the running game, Saquon Barkley, Eagles are nothing, and I think we can definitely stop the run

Say what you want about Hurts, his team is excellent in those close games, where we have struggled in that area.
I truly believed they go as they’re running game goes and we can finally stop the running game, it’s going to be a great season, cowboy brother

They have proven to be an elite unit, our defense was historically bad last season. This year's unit has yet to play a single regular season snap, nobody is taking the Cowboy Defense over the Eagles at this time until they prove otherwise.

Yes, and until they prove otherwise, I can’t wait

We finally have some attitude on this team

Them beating - and nearly sweeping the Eagles “doesn’t make them the better team”.

That’s some flawed logic there.

And based on both teams’ 2025 rosters, there’s no doubt that the Cowboys have improved - dramatically - while the Eagles have regressed.
