What about Romo on Thursdays?

While Romo is probably going to be done with CBS, I can't help but wonder. What about Romo on Thursdays with Amazon?

Please do not get me wrong. I like Kirk, and I think he does a good job. But, I think he's probably better with college. I think Romo and Al would actually be a pretty good tandem. I think Romo could help Al, and I think Al can help bring another gear out in Romo (no pun intended). Or, maybe they can get Al, Kirk, and Romo in the booth together. Either way, I think Romo with Al on Amazon would be a solid move.

To be honest I would like him to make it back home here No not immediately be handing anything for free be an offensive consultant work his way into maybe being the next offensive coordinator here maybe the head coach down the road or maybe in a capacity like Troy Aikman and John Elway have done And no Troy has not proved anything yet but there has seems to be a trend with ex quarterbacks being consultants with teams and then maybe earning their way into a bigger role in the front office..

I mean I thought Jimmy was gonna start doing that it seems like Jerry and him are on good terms now I'd like them to start building a future front office when Jerry and Steven don't feel like doing it anymore and I feel like feel like they were definitely headed in that path they are kind of growing tired of their own shtick you know maybe lessen their responsibilities at the same time put people they trust and care about into the mix...


So I'd like him to find his way over here let him come over here let him be the consultant of some kind and be on the sidelines you know get into the Mix in some way for the Dallas Cowboys. mix in some way for the Dallas Cowboys.

Exactly, and, at least short term until a slot opens up elsewhere, I think it'd work well. I think he and Michaels would actually be a great team.

For one thing, he is a talented analyst. For another thing, Al Michaels had a DUI situation as well once. So, Al can help Romo there. Furthermore, I think Romo and Michaels would be a solid team as I think their styles of commentary would actually work well together.

I agree it's early, but, if CBS were to let him go, I think Romo and Michaels would actually be a great partnership. I'm not saying that Romo is anywhere close to Madden. However, Romo's use of the markers on screen and the way he breaks down and used to predict plays are things that I think would make a nice boost to Amazon, and I think it'd pair well with Michaels style.

Whatever Romo's fate is with CBS, what do you think the odds are that everyone directly involved with that decision hasn't driven in the same, or worse condition than Romo was?

Romo screwed up. Got busted. Has already paid more of a price than you and I would for the exact same mistake.

CBS and Romo have the opportunity to use this situation in a positive way. An example of accountability. Grace. Redemption.

I don't think anyone is giving him an A team or prime time slot. And I don't think he would get paid enough for him to want a B or C team slot. I think he is more likely to be a studio guy. A lot less money, but alot less work
