***Official Streaming Netflix, Amazon, Hulu and other streaming sites thread***

I am not crazy about the casting so far. Kyle Chandler is not doing it for me so far. It is very early in the show but his personality is not flashing.

Is the aging super hero going to be a thing now? Amazon has Spider Noir, with Nicholas Cage playing an aging Spiderman. And now Kyle Chandler as an aging Green Lantern? What's next? Sylvester Stallone as a geriatric Superman?
They keep making unlikable, extremely flawed versions of beloved male heroes. (deconstruction) and then put girl bosses in it that do no wrong and are smarter than everyone else. Rinse/Repeat.

That's part of the problem. I think they just ran out of fresh idea because Hollywood is a closed creative bubble.

The thing I like most about forums is reading different opinions. I think Chandler has nailed Hal Jordan to this point, especially within the context of the show's genre. It is the actresses playing the sheriff and the ranch owner's wife that are not doing it for me so far.

Just my opinions:
  • Amazon is trying (I think weakly) to capitalize on the superhero bonanza by getting Sony to use their license of the character--along with satisfying Nicolas Cage's superhero fetish that he is too old to indulge in anymore. Kinda like old Arnold Schwarzenegger and the Terminator re-tries.
  • I think they are making sure general audiences understand they will eventually focus on the 'newer' Green Lanterns of Earth than the old ones they may have so inkling of from their childhoods.
  • Someone should be shot if Stallone plays anything other than a Ravener in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, lol.
Kyle nailed Jordan.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds S4-E5

I couldn't wait for this episode to end. I can't believe it was green lighted. I almost shut it off halfway through.

That's what happens when the writers (or any of the creators) do not respect nor understand the actual show they are on.

It's theater kids doing Star Trek.

How is everybody feeling about Reacher season 4?

I have to be honest.....I'm not loving it. Feels pretty meh to me so far.
I am debating if I am even going to watch it. There is something about the actor/character in this show that turns me off after a while. Arrogance is not a virtue.

Is anyone else watching ‘ Stuart Fails to Save the Universe’?

It’s the Big Bang Theory spinoff on HBO.

My wife and I were big fans of the original series, and this takes things up to 11.

The wacky premise allows the writers to put the characters in any crazy situation they can dream up, and I’m here for it.

Really enjoying this so far and I hope they keep it going.
Holy crap, the telepathy episode was hilarious!

Have watched the first season multiple times.
Currently watching season 2 for the second time.
