What’s the drop off of Barham a 3rd to Shelton Moore Overton 4ths . So “ moving back a bit “ by getting rid of next years 3 is quite an over simplification of things .

This to me is the weakest position on this football team, offensive tackle needs a talent infusion if this team wants to realize the Super Bowl dream. Steele can't sustain a block on a pass rusher for long and it really hampers this offense. Gotta get right tackle fixed anyway.

Who’d to say he gets cut? We hear this crap all the time. We heard it about Gary, Cowboys said they were gonna cut Amari. It’s crap teams spew to make their trading of hin better then it is. They don’t want you to realize they whiffed on a guy with the 14th pick in the draft.

I saw a beat writer say that was a possibility if Guyton stunk. I don’t see them doing it because Steele sucks though. Too many moving parts. If Guyton got hurt? I could see them thinking about it because that point what’s left at tackle?

At least it makes it even more of a gamble. Could be that he needs another month or two to be back to himself physically and that could explain his rough preseason performance. Or could be that he’s damaged goods…

They must really see a potential great scheme fit here, that makes him a way better fit than in Pittsburgh. Otherwise it makes no sense and we would wait if he gets cut to take a gamble instead of giving up value.

Besides, I'd rather have the two competing, best man wins, because Jones isn't much better than Steele (if he is at all) at this point.

I hear you, but I'd rather not have him at all. If you suck, you suck. I'd trade him for 1 cricket, then let that cricket loose under a street lamp downtown with his family and friends. Paying him to protect your highest paid player and be absolute cheeks doesn't make you look good. It's better to own the mistake and let him watch the games from his couch.

He’s probably an average tackle or around average with some upside.

If he's cut it's conceivable that the Giants or Commanders would of claimed him off of Waivers, before he got to us.
