A couple days ago there were rumors the Cowboys were the ones to call the Steelers about Broderick Jones. Pittsburgh was not actively shopping him until Dallas made them an offer.

Now we know why. If they were happy with Steele they would not have done this. Jones was clearly someone the coaches and scouts had their eye on. And once it became clear something needed to be done at RT they went out and got him.

Correct but that's a huge IF coming from a possible cut due to his current performance in camp and preseason to "hey we can trade him for a 3rd".... great! Clearly he passed his physical. And he played all three preseason games for the Steelers so the issue is apparently behind him.

So now the issue is the on the field play.... fingers crossed that also improves.

Yeah, because Thomas not only didn’t improve, he got worse. So much so that the team shipped him out.
