How do the Cowboys fit in?

Dang, I did have a spinal fusion after my discs from L5-L3 were basically disintegrated. I was in so much pain and I'm a big guy (6'4, 275), but the two years to full recovery were worth it.

That's next for me. I had epidural and disc blocks done on Monday on those same one L3 through L5. I was 6'4" 330 in my prime. Right now I'm down to 260ish

..right on, Ranch. It is nice up that way, lots of trees, metroplex type of area.

Blacks Beach! ...lol that used to be something 80's- 90's, .. recently i've heard lots of wierdos. I've never been.

It was an all nude beach in the summer of 83 when I went there. I was 16, wearing a cowboy hat. At least I had somewhere to hang it!!

Yeah, 3 herniated discs and bone on bone knees. I've lost about 25 pounds, hit 259 this morning after breakfast. My doctor told me that every 5 pounds lost equates to 100 pounds of stress on my knees and back. Been feeling pretty good. Thanks

I played high school baseball and football (made varsity my freshman year for both). I played 2 years of college football at junior college that isn't even on the map. LOL. But I started watching football in (I want to say) 1976 when I was 6 years old. My Dad was (and still is) a die hard Miami Dolphins fan. I know my first game that I watched was the Cowboys against the Dolphins. I was antagonizing my Dad saying the Cowboys were going to win. I don't remember if they did or not. LOL

What's your story? I started playing football in 1975, that winter, I became a Cowboys fan when I saw the Hail Mary pass! No one in my family really cared about the sport, so the next 51 years I've been on this Cowboys roller coaster, pretty much by myself, my wife joined me 36 years ago. Many of you know, football shaped my life and to this day, 10 years after my retirement, it continues too do so. Go Cowboys, Salud to all of you guys for sticking by a team that makes it tough on its fanbase. Just a few more days, I CAN'T WAIT!

Just like you, the first cowboy game I saw was the Hail Mary and I was hooked.

I also really respected Coach Landry and Roger for living out their Christian Faith in such a public way.

I am a very loyal person, so I have stuck with the team even though it’s been terribly mismanaged for the last 30 years.

Grew up in South Dakota. There was only two options on TV back then in my area. The Vikings and the Cowboys. I picked the Cowboys because I liked when the OL did the Landry Shift.

Moved to Green Bay in the late 80s and I am the lone holdout in the family that is not a packer fan.

My football fandom. I grew up in a football crazy town in SE Tx. Bum coached there, Wade played QB there(hard to imagine that). Still a great football town with a few Texas state championships so I never remember not watching or being around football. I watched Texas win the Nat'l Championship against Arkansas while sacking groceries as a HS kid. Vivid memories of Cotton Speyer, a local kid from PA like Jimmy Johnson, making the big catch in that game when Darrell Royal was so shy of the passing game. Watched the state championship in old, cold Texas stadium when our little HS (1430 enrollment) played Plano (enrollment around 3,000) to a standstill and lost 13-10 before 50,000. This was 2 years after our little HS beat MOJO Permian for the Championship in an East v s West classic. Texas HS football reigns !!!!! (What the heck Desoto ... go to Fla. and show your azzes??)

Cowboys, oh yeah, I ramble sometimes. Even though we, as a family (raised by my maternal grands) were all in on HS football they were negligent on the pro game. Then, as an 11 year old, I watch the in the 1966 Championship game on TV. Even though they infamously lost I said, hell yeah, this is my team. Was heartbroke for the Ice Bowl ending. Then Cleveland broke me down more. The Colts SB game just gave me the red@zz. I am empathetic for Bob Lily and the helment toss. Then our Cowboys came back and DOMINATED Miami in SB VI. Yeah BABY ! I am hooked on Cowboy football. My fandom runs deep. This period of poor results since the mid 90's has been hard.

I think I'll go toss back a Four Roses Single Barrel toast to my team right now ! GO COWBOYS !!!!

I started rooting for the Cowboys in their SB12 winning season. My wife is a casual, great sport. She will attend games, put on her Cowboys Jersey and Cowboy boots..... no, I mean actual DALLAS COWBOY boots. She will high five me during the games and cheer during the game. But she couldnt tell you the name of a single O-lineman.

My oldest daughter..... now she is the one who is as ridiculous as I am. She currently is the head coach of a d2 college softball team. She played both college basketball and softball.... she LOVES sports. We travel to 3 or 4 games a year together. She texts me the day the schedule comes out inquiring about which games we want to do. She gets Cowboys notifications on her phone. This team is a part of who I am. My life revolves around them. There isnt too much that I get more angry, or more happy about. Keep in mind... im talking at the moment. Nothing is more important than my family. But this team is simply in my DNA.

IM ready for the season to kick of, and return back to Texas for the home opener, as we do every season.

Shared this before but I became a Cowboys fan at age 6 when my Dad took me to see the Cowboys vs the Browns at the Cotton Bowl. Been a Cowboys fan ever since.

Been lucky enough to see the Cowboys play in all 3 of their home stadiums- Cotton Bowl, Texas Stadium and AT&T.

And I’ve been lucky enough to have seen every single Cowboys playoff game they ever played. All on TV of course, lol. But still - 67 playoff games I believe.

My football season now starts at 7am with good morning football, lurking and stirring the pot on CZ, watching HS game film for some of my former staff, watching former player's kids MS and HS games, college games on TV and of course every NFL game available in my area. Sounds like a bit much, but it's just a way of life for me.

I roll out of bed on Sundays at 7am. I cook my breakfast, make my coffee, and head up to my movie room. IN there is a 135 inch projection screen. I turn on Sirius XM fantasy football channel and I sytart listening to inactives, best pickups, injuries..... nothing but football. I start setting my 4 different fantasy team lineups. I then hit draft kings. I select my lineup for my weekly contest of 10 buddies that 5 bucks each, winner gets 37.50 2nd gets 12.50. Then I do my own lineup for one contest.

Games start, and I fire up my 4 games at the same time... my screen is in 4ths like a sports bar/ UNless the Cowboys are on, then I might put the entire screen all Cowboys, Or half cowboys and 3 smaller screens on the right with other games. I watch football all day, 10, 1, 5:30. My wonderful wife leaves me alone so I can bask in the glory of the NFL.
