The more I think about acquiring Jones the more I like it. He was highly touted coming out of school so there must be traits. Had an injury that set back his progress but he's working back from it gradually, and he's only 25.

Very little capital was given to get him here and he's probably already better than the other backup Tackles on the team so I'm good with it! Here's hoping he can unseat Steele by this time next year!

How exactly is that better?

I’m definitely rooting for him. I love a good underdog story, and he seems like a good dude, but the only reasons to be hopeful live in his 2023 draft profile, not in what’s happened the last three years.

An outlier that's extremely unlikely to repeat itself with Jones.
He's just another of the 100s of reclamation projects that will almost certainly fail again.
