Roger Goodell signs new 4 year extension

Homie hit the lotto over and over again. I wonder what his actual role/impact is day to day.

Really?
No it has not. Maybe money wise, but not good for the fans it is on a downhill roll.

You enjoy paying to watch games on 10 different platforms, pay per view basically.
And it is getting worse. All these out of country games as well.
The out of country games are a good thing for the sport. I stopped paying for cable awhile ago so I don’t mind getting more games on streaming services for nearly half the price that cable is.

Say what you want, but Goodell is a tremendous commissioner. He works for the owners, yet isn't afraid to mix it up with them when needed.

I hate a lot of the results, but his job is to grown the league financially, which he's done in spades.

Even if he's paid $100 million per year, that's peanuts compared to the $24 billion the league generates annually now.

Owners and players get paid incredibly well now, but the heart is the league is a faded memory. Not even close to what it was in the 90s and early 2000s.

Gooddell made the game worse but the league is more profitable than ever.
The league in all honesty was gonna grow regardless, once streaming and different platforms came about. The Direc tv sunday ticket and TV deals were gonna happen with or without Goodell. I cant think of a single thing this moron has done that made me stop and think hes doing a good job.

So 4 more years of chiefs and Patriots in the super bowls. Its mind boggling that the Patriots were caught cheating and no one bats an eye, Brady is considered the goat even after the suspension for cheating.

I'm no fan of his, but the league owners think otherwise

I understand that side of it but when he failed to take the advice of the Woman Lead Investigator in charge of investing harassment cases and decided to give Zeke a 6 game suspension, he showed his true colors.

Someone who put his finger in the wind and decided to pander to "popular culture" headwinds rather than mete out justice even handedly.

He'll retire after this extension.

Goodell was a NFL person - worked his way up. Those of you who want to replace him need to be careful what you wish for. My fear is that he will be replaced by a non-football corporate person.
