Good thing Dallas used that 1st rounder on a guy with a second round grade and didn't focus on that offensive line.

There wasn't any players left on any teams board with a 1st round grade at that point (pick 23) in the draft.

The Cowboys were committed to fixing the defense and not spend yet another 1st round pick on an OL.

Every teams has injuries. It will never be a perfect start to any season for any team. Just have to deal with it. I don't like it, but injuries don't surprise me.

That is the million dollar question why wait till a week before the first game, feels like a Jerry flub up doesn't. Waiting to long to have surgery instead of waiting to long to work out a contract.

IR DTR is a minimum of 4 weeks. They said 4 to 6 weeks.
I don’t have an issue with it. Since he could return in 4 weeks.
However the MO of this team is that 4 to 6 means 8 to10.

Putting him on IR is the smart move. Leaving him on the 53 ties up a roster spot for 4 weeks....for what?

Putting him on the IR is exactly the opposite of putting themselves into a corner. This gives them flexibility with his roster spot.

Just terrible planning they had all offseason to address this when it wasn't getting better should have advised on surgery earlier. I get that no one wants to have surgery but I'm sure there's a precedent for these types of injuries.
