There's the Pats, then there's us, and then about 10 rungs down there was the Lions during Stafford's tenure. They were comparable to the Browns and the Jets.

I think Stafford is better than Dak. As is Allen and Mahomes. And Burrow.... tho I think if Dak really goes on an MVP tear.... he'll usurp Burrow for sure, and possibly Stafford and maybe even Allen.

I think Dak is Top 5 after Mahomes, Allen, Burrow and Stafford. No wonder 3 out of 4 First Things First guys pick him for MVP

So here's how i see things:

I know it feels like Dak will never reach a Super Bowl, but I say..... it feels like it won't happen until it happens.

Numbers and esteem in the league would say Dak was better regarded than Ryan before the landmark Ryan year.

New coach, new defense, new system, new ideology..... you never know. And if Terrence Steele is the weak link, make a trade mid year.... give a needy team something they want we have more of for a Right Tackle.

In 2016, we had a QB who took us to the playoffs with a 13-3 record. He's still here, so no need to compare him with an inferior player.

Our so-called "weak link", T. Steele, competes for RT with Broderick Jones. There is no need for the mentioned mid-year trade.

And now our LG, Smith, is out for 6 weeks and replaced by Bass.

To me getting to a championship game is totally irrelevant vs not getting there. Here's another ranking for you. Dak is 6, and half of these have never played in a Super Bowl:

Yes and no. The mvp voting system completely changed a few years ago. Up until 2022 there was no such thing as 2nd place votes and Dak wouldn’t have even placed as a finalist.

On one hand the system is what it is and Dak was runner up to no fault of his own. On the other some people tend to reject the legitimacy of a
player who doesn’t get a 1st place vote.

It’s sort of like pro bowl alternates. It’s technically still a valid honor for those who get in, but the system sort of watered down the significance.
