Mailbag: Will the New Culture be on Full Display Now

That’s what I’ve been saying for a year now. The change is a year underway and is a work in progress. “This team”, every year the team is different, hasn’t faced rounds coming from down range yet. Sunday night the live fire begins.
Of course, you’ve said the same thing multiple times about different coaching staffs over the past 10 years.

Even if it is true this time, you will get no credit whatsoever.

it's been on display all summer. Have there been any running headlines about off-the-field issues? Contract holdouts/hold-ins? Controversy of any kind?
even owner and general manager Jerry Jones passing on opportunities to stir the pot

And as mentioned, the biggest controversy was getting QB 3 to the PS.

The biggest sign of a good culture is it holding together when things go wrong. So when the Cowboys face adversity this season, how do they respond?

Is this considered the 1st big test for the team? Probably not. 1st big test is the NYG.
I think more people expected Pickens to be a big deal, but even that went smoothly so far

Are they asking us, they couldn't look on Google sheesh lol

Good to have a decent off season, now let's carry that into the season. Let's remember the tragedy that took place with kneeland and how something like that could have taken a toll on a team

And they're gonna be tested without Tyler Smith I mean that was the one area where they were missing Dexter Lawrence the center of our offense That line was stout We're just gonna run right through them and run right over them and now we gotta start with TJ Bass as our starter it kinda levels things out now because you can say there 'd be three big question marks all on the offensive line and the offense is supposed to be our strong point..

So they literally have their first Test Is it how does the team feel is it gonna be like a big let down Are they gonna still be able to play through it What if there's an injury in that game to another guard or a center...:(:eek:

Culture change is the running headline every offseason here. This time though, this time, it's definitely happening. This is our year. Believe the hype.

This isn't the most valuable sports franchise in the world for nuth'n folks

Tyler Smith is known to be a quick healer. It's not like he'll be lost forever. It's more like 4 weeks! ;)

I feel pretty strongly that we’re in for a good season because off season drama carries into the season. I think this nailed it, if the biggest “drama” was our 3rd string QB getting cut then resigned we have a good focus going on here. No contract drama, no bad press, none of that bad vibes going into the season. It seems this off season was just about football and not much else. I haven’t been able to say that since Jimmy left.

I’m feeling good about it and looking forward to seeing it play out on the field. And for the record I haven’t felt good about this organization in six or 7 years.

Their first chance to respond to diversity didn't wait very long.

On Sunday they go against probably the best group of young pass rushers in the league without their best O-lineman.

We'll see what culture does for the win/loss column.

We'll see if the coaches can get the team's mentality on track for opening the season. Losing your left side OL anchor a week before opening kickoff is a gut punch for the team, but something the coaches and players should be able to rise above... If not rally around!

To be fair there have only been 3 HC changes. We all know Garrett stuck around too long. I was sold on McCarthy at first until things started to stagnate again. Just hoping Schotty's plan actually works.

Time will tell. Everything looks and sounds great leaving camp but once you get punched in the mouth, how will this team respond?

i love schotty and his staff.
if up-top stays outta their way...yes.
if up-top doesn't....no.
