Twitter: Cowboys performance with Bass as Guard

Hey Kwyn, I'd almost agree accept... Dak is susceptible against interior rush. Bass can fill all 3 spots and all 3 interior OLs have missed time. Keagan looked solid in preseason, but he didn't make the team.
I had him on my 53 and thought he’d make it since he made the cut last year, forcing Holden to waivers.

Oh well he’s a Viking and on their active 53 man roster. Being young, not yet vested, and a former 5th round pick, he got snapped up

Hoping Leverett is able to help. He was a vested veteran so he didn’t have to go through waivers. He also has played center so he has some flexibility.

No such thing as a good injury, but the Boys can definitely ride this one out better than other positions. Bass is and has been a solid backup.

So...you're saying we should replace Smith with Bass full-time? That's what that chart seems to indicate.
Know what they are saying and I can tell you this if you really want to get serious let's get serious Tyler Smith's been dealing with severe tendonitis in his knee and I've already been through this the last couple days He is not the same player he's had a little bit of a drop off remember how we watched that happen with Martin and Tyron Smith it's happening right now at Tyler so he has not been the old Tyler Smith Not recently..

So what they're saying is the back playing is not that big a drop off It is a slight drop off but not a big drop off both Hoffman and Bass played really well when they were in there and now what you're just upset because they played well and now we're giving them too much flowers because what you have a crush on Tyler Smith..

His knees been bothering him for about two years now it's tendonitis it comes it goes now he has a thumb here we go again so yes you need to have solid backups and the Cowboys have a really good interior OL When you include the depth.

So instead of giving somebody a little props for posting this you get defensive over us talking positively about another Dallas Cowboy player I mean I don't even understand some of y'all...

It's not that hard.

There's a lot of information on the internets

Yes he and Hoffman both played very well both center and guard is backups and people shouldn't get so defensive who cares it is another Dallas Cowboy player the fact that the coaches have provided depth for situations like this and it seems like people are taking this really bad I don't understand it..

so why is Smith starting if your boy is so great?

I own you
, Lol
My boy, LMAO where did you get that from .like everything else just pull out .
And actually, I have no idea what you’re talking about, wow

Well, let’s see,
The nurse practitioner, told me she sent a request over to the Gastro
When I got there today, the cardiologist said she never got the referral to send it over to Gastro
And then she said she would send it
Called Gas they’ve never received anything,
Wife was writing down the fax number, and I hung up before she could finish
Yelling at me telling me I need to call him back and get the number
I just got off the phone, with Gastro asking them to send over a referral to cardio
I could spit nails right now
Seriously? Faxes and phone calls? You must be a glutten for punishment.

All QB's hate interior rushes. Pressure from either side can be rolled away from. Up the gut; there's nowhere to go. Having said that Leverett also looked solid in preseason and looked like he handled center duties a little better than Keegan. So my guess is they kept the guy with more position flex.
Juke him, put on the breaks and he'll fly right by.

This. Bass is a great back up OLinemen to have though. I was hoping we get the run game going and less relying on Dak and his arm.
With who we have at wr I think we'll see a lot of passing regardless of who's at guard or center.

They don't have email? Not picking on you. I miss the human contact. But if it's not in writing it didn't happen.
My cardiologist, trying to contact the gastrologist
I don’t know how they do it, but they told me they never received the fax

Heh, heh......Hey Tyler, you're not playing left tackle. From now on, we've decided to go with two left guards.

I think Dallas will be ok with him in there 4-6 weeks.
Yes likely for 4 games But it is still the depth is now weakened what happens if Bass hurt or another guard gets hurt or the center gets hurt where we doing there they should have never let Hoffman go not because of this I said it at the time for the money he got he should have been here He's a backup guard and center He does very well he BASS some of the best backups we had and when when he left I thought it was going to be for some big money at least some bigger money the dude is making less than 2 million a year..

I know what they did and to me it's still wrong they brought in Hennessy but now he's hurt and this wasn't hindsight I was saying at the time how confused I was that they didn't keep the guy... Now have no Tyler Smith and no Hennessy and we're down to using bass that waters down the rest of the depth.

Hope isn't a tactic, but I hope this O line doesn't give me a stroke.
