Signed by Cowboys Cowboys extend Flournoy - 1 year $6m

these small moves matter IMHO

I know people probably don't think resigning BSF or FLO, or even bringing over a back lineman just before the season starts or just nothing but they are they're saying that they're still making moves whether they're small or not and I believe once they see three or four games from this team if there's a glaring hole a big move is going to be made I think they're using that money and draft pick when they need it before the trade deadline a move can be made I think Jerry's in a move making headspace and I like that even if it's small..

We could trade or sign another player but I guess that was always smoke and mirrors with Jerry. He talks the talk and doesn't walk the walk.
Your avatar tells me you’re my kind of fan. You’re a good poster here. Don’t let all the negativity here wear you down. I’ve seen a lot of good posters turn into subhuman bottom dwellers because of the hate spewed here. Keep the thick skin and stay positive. Doesn’t matter if they win a SB or not being positive will help you live longer.

I don't really understand why Flournoy would do this. He'd get at least that on the tender or as a free agent and he's cost himself a lot of money if he has a big year.

I suppose he could always sign an extension anyway, especially if he ends up traded, but this is an odd one to me.

Bro, am I subhuman?

Could you maybe write "He was right" on my tombstone?

It ensures him a payday in case he gets hurt this year.

He's wasn't sitting on a huge bank account like high draft picks, and he's only had one productive year. He's needs to gain some financial security now.

If he has good years this year and next, he'll be set for a much bigger payday soon.

Don't see it now......Think that basically seals the deal that Pickens is gone after this season.
Your not gonna pay Lamb 35.....Pickens 30....and Flourney 6 in 2027.

Basically we just locked ourselves into drafting a WR and an OL early in 2027.
That's certainly an option. They're giving themselves options, which is tremendous these days.

Pickens will determine his own fate in this. The Cowboys want to see it this year first.

No being late to meetings. Proving he can be more than just an outside receiver. Showing self-control and discipline on and off the field.

If he does that, he could be here long term. If not, they probably franchise him or let him go.
