I have the same thought. So Giants ran the same play tossing the blindside flat 4 times straight. The coach didn't adjust. Anyone tell me why??
It wasn't even a matchup. There was literally no one there. We never adjusted, that was the story of basically the entire night on defense. They kept running the ball, we kept our safeties back. The communication was terrible and the scheme was also just bad. Do I think they will improve? Of course. This is basically a brand new unit, scheme, and coach. But last night was bad. Really bad.The Giants weren't doing something impossibly sophisticated.
They basically kept saying: "Here's the matchup we like. Stop us."
And Dallas kept giving them enough of the same structure to exploit it.
This was Parker's first regular-season game as Dallas' defensive coordinator. No one said he would walk on water immediately.
The Dallas defense did its job. It gave the offense plenty of time to rest.
