Fans blaming Dak

the staff was put in the spotlight last night also, the Giants boxed the DT's as the only threat and put Belt to Arss the rest of the game easily, we better hope this staff has some answers... first game we will but it wasn't pretty.

Why is everyone so upset? We are only 1 game behind in the battle for the division.

Why are Dak threads always 15+ pages long? You all must really love this man, no judgement though if yall swing that way.

Not sure what has happened to Dak, but his release is horrible. He used to get the ball out quickly, but now, his wind up takes like 3 seconds. It's like if he isn't throwing on the run, he can't throw anymore. Hard to put my finger on it.

People can rightfully pick out various factors for the loss but for me it really centred around the last few minutes of the first half. It was such a pivotal moment in the game given the Giants were due to receive the ball at the start of the second half and the Cowboys had a great opportunity to take the lead before the break.

It all started with the timeout taken by the Cowboys just before the interception. Why take a timeout? This is what illustrates that Dak does not have total command of the offense like say Romo did especially towards the latter part of his career. I remember Romo scoring countless drives late on in halves, e.g., against the Giants funnily enough and he wouldn't take a timeout even if say there was only a minute left at the start of the drive. He wanted the defense to be gassed out on their knees and if he needed a timeout, he would spike the ball himself. The coaches would effectively leave it up to him how to engineer the drive in such circumstances. This isn't a Dak bashing post - I'm just surprised that he seemingly does not have 100% autonomy of the offense in such situations when in my view, given that he's an 11 year VET, All-Pro and Pro Bowler...he should!

Any way, this was followed by an inexplicable drop by Pickens. Dak threw a perfect ball and of all people, Pickens just completely missed the catch.

This was of course followed by Dak's ill advised interception when he was trying to throw the ball out of bounds.

This was then followed by the most embarrassing defensive drive from any team I have watched all weekend.

We can fast forward to Williams rightly being given an unsportsmanlike flag for goading the Giants when losing...

Add in other countless penalties throughout the game.

What does it all tell me? Best case scenario is that the Cowboys were simply not prepared or coached up to win this game. Worst case is it runs much deeper than that.

I guess we will find out over the coming weeks which it is.

as much of a critic of Dak that I am, he is towards the end of the list of people to blame for that loss.

That’sa good one but you’re a defensestan coming to the rescue of the historically bad D. And I never said Dak was great. The dakidiots always go to the extremes with him and the Dak defenders go to the other extreme.
Just keeping it lite is all.

Never been accused of or been called a defensestan.
What the hell is that anyway? Lol

How do I come to the rescue of a historically bad D? Doesn’t make sense. And why do you use made up code words?

That last question was rhetorical...I really don't want to know.

Pickens makes some of the catches he dropped and may have been a different story. May have been rust but that offense didn’t look like the same one from last year. The defense was still not great but I think we have to remember the NYG are going to be pretty good. They have a up and coming QB who is going to be really good, the best HC hire they could’ve made, one of the top WRs, and five years worth of top ten draft picks. I think both sides of our team will get better as the season goes on but we still may be fighting for 2nd or 3rd place in the division.

There is no one player to blame. Dak's interception at the end of the half was absolutely huge. Just a dumb dumb throw. Just accept we are punting at that point and move on to the half. No excuse for that. I didn't see people blaming him, but I assume this is what they are referring to? We lose with or without that throw, so meh...

Team effort. Offense and defense. Coaches and players. No one in particular to point to or to say didn't play a part

I blame the play calling. I mean the first play of the game we decide to make Ferg the FB (who sucks at blocking) and run the ball. I mean stop with this getting cute crap.

GP talked a big game and could have had a good game but he didn't bring his hands. #dropUniversity

Really you didn't know your offense only had 2 possession in the 2nd half lol Bruh Ceedee SHOULD be leader on this team at this point in his career.
