What is the deal with Barham?

Not saying he is a lost cause, but it was not a good look. I can overlook rookie mistakes, but effort cannot be questioned. To have this look at your first game with an organization who likes to treat players with kid gloves is not a good look.

 
Its my fault to once again fall for pre season hype,i genuinely thought Parker was much better Scheme wise but he was really really bad on Sunday and you cant ask much from your Rookie LB when your DC is so clueless.
 
You don't want the young pups having to think. You want him to see other team and hit. He was forced into wearing the green dot.

This is why you need a Bobby Wagner type. So the young guys can develop and learn.

He’s a rookie. The hype in preseason was off the charts but that’s not his fault or the team’s. It’s a fan issue

He had a couple of big plays in the first preseason game, made a comment that sounded tough and fans went crazy.

We won’t know what he can be for weeks to come and maybe not even this season.
 
Barham like most rookies need a year or 2 under their belt to turn into a viable player. Let's chill on giving up on him. He's going to be great someday soon.
 
I thought he looked pretty good - strong at the POA and able to take on blockers. I think what they're asking to do is kind of dumb, but physically he was fine.

The "effort" play in the OP was a bad look, but otherwise I thought he looked the part.

They needed to get the ball back to their offense the time of possession was ridiculously lopsided that is a strategy i'm sure they all knew it Why line up for inches to go and waste more time when you need your offense back on the field/

He's tough as hell, and I wouldn't want to be hit by him. Other than that, right now he is a deer in the headlights. At least he was out there putting in the effort though...

First of all no that was my alternate theory on what they saw in the angles they had and they are football players you are not so let's get that straight I was just coming up with an alternate theory but yes they do do that in games like this where you're losing time of possession where your defense is giving up a score on every damn drive That sometimes when you need more time and you know that they're probably gonna score in the next fight you just let them score yes it is part of football is this your first time watching games because they do this in all the leagues high school college there are sometimes in a game where you just allow the other team when you know you're wasting time trying to stop something on inches to go yes that's an alternate theory

But no my main take away from that video was there was three Dallas Cowboys defenders that all saw the same thing they play football you don't they believe they couldn't get him they didn't have the angle That's what I'm saying don't blame Barham when there were two news standing right next to him they all saw the same thing they all stopped that means they all know as NFL football players that they would not have had the angle and they let it happen because it would have been a waste of time yes that's what I'm saying you damn right that's what I'm saying what are you going to tell me that you think you know I'm wrong or I've been watching football all my life I played high school football and just recently this happens in games where you hear him on the TV calling the game and say I'm surprised they didn't just let them score here because the offense needs to get the ball back quick because they need to score quick that is a strategy in games yes it is...

Hope you learned something from our little exchange here I know it's foreign to you that that's part of some coaching strategies but it is definitely not a new thing and it will happen in games and maybe you just don't notice it We've even had people get angry at players for not performing that duty and just allowing a guy to walk in I know it's hard to understand but sometimes you need to when you know the situation in this game the offense didn't hold the ball very long we needed the ball we only had two drives and scored on both in the 2nd half we needed another one quicker and yes that could have been what happened...

When you knew the opponent was going to score anyways. Because you couldn't stop them.

I didnt see the vid included. Now looking at it. They were out of place to begin with. No one was in the flats.

Barham probably gassed by then, didnt make extra effort on tackle. Demoralized from long night.

Think you're still missing it in the video he's standing next to two other players number 53 and #26 they're all right next to each other almost shoulder to shoulder and they all gave up at the same time i'm telling you they knew they couldn't stop it or if they did it might have been on the one inch line or they would have got a penalty for hitting a guy stepping out of bounds are late whatever is going through their mind I trust this football players no they did not give up they were not gassed they were not lazy they had a better idea of what was going on on the field than us..
