Everyone needs to remember its a 17 game season and we have a lot of new pieces that need to come together...they will end up in the playoffs

Sam Darnold won the SB last year, anything is possible. I don’t feel like a lot of the teams who have won it over the past decade or so have even really been very good. Problem for us is we oftentimes weren’t even good enough to get into the playoffs in order to get lucky a few times. Heck even Wash made it to the NFCC game bc they got lucky and every opposing QB was injree before Philly.

Look, nobody wants to admit they were wrong. Even Jerry himself had to take back some of his expectations. In his interview yesterday. He said “ there has not been this much change since 1989.” He went one to say “ we won one game that year.” I take that to mean if this team only wins one game, he will not be overly surprised. This is Jerry and his big ego, telling us. This is a bad team. They know it. So. Will you ride with a 1-16 team, expect they will be bring back all the coaches or bail?

Did he really say that? That better not be his expectation because we lost this draft pick. LOL

I am reasonable. Any person can state they are exaggerating after the fact. It is never necessary for anyone to double down on their exaggeration.

The 'you know what I really saying bruh' excuse is always completely lame, but some people actually mean what they say. You may wish to question the individual making the exaggeration to determine whether they meant what was said.

Or you can double down on your assumption that my literal interpretation is incorrect instead. Your choice. I never have any difficulty saying I was wrong AND apologizing.

I feel that many Cowboy fans are actually happy that they lost.

It reaffirms their victim mentality, PTSD of the franchise and hatred of Jerry.

I’ll repeat how I responded to another fan who claimed some fans are happy we lost.

No true Cowboy fan is happy to lose. But it supports many of the concerns fans had who pushed back on all of the talk about our defense was fixed , Parker was the answer. etc .

And this was definitely a playoff team and maybe more. Over hype at least for now .

While those who pushed back were in more of a wait and see mode. I’d argue at least out of the gate that some may have got it all wrong.

And that’s a big part of discussions and arguments in a fan forum. Who has better insights and instincts. Not who is more optimistic or a bigger homer.
