I know what a catch is. After explaining it to you all over the years, you know what a catch is. Apparently, this ref crew (and replay crew) don’t know what a catch is. Was the fix in here? This play changed the whole complexion of the game. Dak, who was looking pretty shaky, seemed to settle in once he knew the game was in the bag (wink, wink). I mean, congrats to him on the All-Time Cowboys TD record but will he be able to sleep tonight knowing how he got it? Probably. He has a Sleep Number bed afterall.

OMG, the ball hit the ground and when his back hit the ball still wasn't secure and the ball came loose. Of course this replay doesn't show the end of the play to see that.

we'll never know .... but it would have changed the dymamics of the game. at that time, we weren't doing much offensively. definitely a different pressure if that isn't ruled incomplete.

Dez had possession for like 3 steps, and made a football move. Not the same thing.

I just went back & rewatched it. Most certainly did not turn 90 degrees. Ball was caught\secured with tip pointed at his left shoulder & remained in that orientation thru the ground.

The ball was slightly moving in his hands as his body was touching and sliding out of bounds. That is what made it an incompletion. Had he had firm control of the football once his body touched and slid out of bounds, it would have been a catch/TD.

I didn’t see the ball move after the knee touched

It wasn’t much but it did. He momentarily let go. I would have reversed it but I can see why it wasn’t.
