Dak never makes the play

Yet somehow this is on Dak?
Maybe. Is he elite top 5? Have we claimed he carries the defense? Should he be able to drive this offense inro the endzone?

Im okay with no, no, and no. But many people that say yes, yes, and yes....still blame just defense.

Actually you can say both and it is true. Everyone cost us the game today at different times. Both Dak and the Defense played their hearts out at the end. The game would've been a great comeback win if Dak had the courage to throw the ball at the open receiver. If he did that he would've gotten the gameball and people would've said both the offense and the defense put up a good effort at the end of the game. In the end, in a loss, both deserve to be criticized
“throwing the ball to an open receiver” takes courage?

Do you think Dak just somehow CHOSE not to throw the ball to an open receiver?

Why would he do that? Does that analysis make sense to you?

O

Or maybe it was, you know, the truth?

Heaven forbid Dak force a throw that gets picked and we fail to tie the game on what was essentially an extra point, you guys would be foaming at the mouth.

He tied the game, and with 10 seconds on the clock the defense gives up a huge pass and a 56 yard field goal.

Yet somehow this is on Dak?

Makes no sense. Sometimes I wonder if half this forum isn’t bots who will argue anything just to farm clicks.
Look at the other thread. It doesn't make sense. And the people who are buying into that line are either being willfully ignorant or are gullible. A head coach can call a play. A Quarterback can change the play. If the Quarterback isn't allowed to change a play then there is something wrong with both the system and the quarterback. It's simple logic. You believe what shotty said? willful ignorance or gullible, if so?

So you are saying that you believe that if the Coach tells Dak to throw away the ball, that Dak can't change the play. You think he would get in trouble? Does that analysis make sense to you?

Because on the whole he played well.

For example, how many great passes did he even make to get down to the two yard line?

But if he isnt perfect, and Dallas doesn’t win, he’s gonna be vilified for not being perfect.

Meanwhile, the defense gives up big play after huge play (one with 7 seconds on the clock), and yall give them a total pass.

How’s that for “nuance”?
Bad.

I am thinking that is exactly what is going on here...was more like if you don't have a throw, throw it away.
of course he is covering for him. A play caller calls the plays in the NFL. A quarterback can change the play. If a quarterback isn't allowed to change the play, then there is something wrong with both the system and the quarterback. It's simple logic.

The D played well at times. But seriously, you think giving up 34 points is acceptable? that would be great in basketball but not good in football.
How many points would the Raven's given up if we went for the Win instead of the throw away? I mean Captain Crash already brought up that point.

Whch then means there is more concern to this team, then anybody can imagine or is even talking about. No deflate gate here, it's the Cowboys version of "cover up the deficient QB we have gate".

No Pickens was open at the goal one. Dak was paid to lose
Since we're going there.......Schotty deserves investigation to see if he is friends with shady characters, given the play calling I saw earlier and throughout the game. Fair enough?

That’s not what I’m saying at all.

What I’m saying is Schotty probably said, “don’t get crazy. If you don’t like the pass, just don’t lose the opportunity for the tying field goal”. I don’t think that’s even worth saying because to me it’s obvious. “Don’t be a hero”, basically.

Secondly, I’m not nearly as convinced as some that there wasn’t some miscommunication on the play. I think it’s only rational to believe that Dak would’ve thrown a pass that he thought would win the game if he saw it available.

I wish we would have scored a TD there, too. No one who calls themselves a Cowboy fan would NOT say that.

I’m just not willing to crucify Dak on a night when the defense sucked so terribly.

Giving up 34 points and then pinning the loss on a QB who had zero turnovers and a respectable 91.3 QB rating…I don’t get it.

Blameless? Not at all. But the convo being “Dak sucks and it’s his fault” defies reason.

Are you sure you don’t mean Commanders Fan? Because that is a super-silly take.

Does Dak play defense? This defense couldnt hold for 7 sec? I have to wonder if some people’s dislike for Dak has nothing to do with football
I am not a Dak (in between with me) hater, no Dak doesn’t play D but he sure knows who does and must realize that D can’t stop a nosebleed, so if going to leave it up and depend on them to win it for you, you will get what you got today an L.

Dak never makes THE play.

Never.
lol. That is asinine statement. I will give you the fact that you're frustrated, but Dak is a great football player, but it takes more than one person to win a football game. The Cowboys scored 31 points. That was more than enough to win a game. It just wasn't enough to win tonight. That wasn't an offensive issue. That lands squarely on the defense and coaching.

Sure, you can talk about the idiot call Shotty made to intentionally throw the ball a way on 3rd and goal, but in the end. 31 points should be enough if your defense shows any signs of life. They gave up 34. Ball game and that isn't on Dak. That's on the defense, Shotty, and Parker.

What the hell does my comment even have to do with the Commanders? It's been suggested that Schotty is taking the fall for his QB, and deflate/delfect the respoinsbility of the QB. If you don't understand my sad attempt of humour, then that's your issue, not mine. Or are you the same guy who claimed I was a Commanders fan for priasing them?

He got them down the field over and over, got them in position just for the play calls and execution to suck at the very end when they needed it most.

Because I typed Commanders fan and a
Moderator must have changed it.

Why, I don’t know. Even the Commanders are discussing going back to being called the Commanders.
