Dak never makes the play

lol. That is asinine statement. I will give you the fact that you're frustrated, but Dak is a great football player, but it takes more than one person to win a football game. The Cowboys scored 31 points. That was more than enough to win a game. It just wasn't enough to win tonight. That wasn't an offensive issue. That lands squarely on the defense and coaching.

Sure, you can talk about the idiot call Shotty made to intentionally throw the ball a way on 3rd and goal, but in the end. 31 points should be enough if your defense shows any signs of life. They gave up 34. Ball game and that isn't on Dak. That's on the defense, Shotty, and Parker.
Just looking only at total points is LAZEEE!

Dak and this potent offense should be able to get that TD. They did not.

We lost.

We stopped henry 4 times, inlcuing a late 4th down and goal....gave the ball back to offense to win (or at least be up 7!). They couldn't THAT...is on the offense!

If you'd bet they'd stop Henry at the goal line, give dak a chance to win the game...you would have lost...am I right?

if you are inside the 5 on 1st or 2nd down, how bout a run? that thought ever cross your mind schotty?

Dak never makes THE play.

Never.
6th among active QBs for game winning drives: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/gwd_active.htm

Record outside the NFC East based on defensive points allowed:
  • Outside NFC East with defense allowing 20 points or fewer: 33-8
  • Outside NFC East with defense allowing 24 points or fewer: 38-13
Why our fanbase continues to bemoan our QB play and the offense generally when we again scored 31 points and did so with only 7 seconds left on clock is beyond me. Unless people think the standard is that Dak and the offense have score 40 every week we are never ever ever ever ever ever ever going to do anything when our defense is giving up over 30 points again regularly.

P.S. we scored 40 or more 3 times last year and we still didn't manage to win all of them going 2-0-1.

Right. Please note I never blamed just dak. Nor gave defense complete immunity.

I am saying I think the defense played better than expected....and offense bungled some .

Why am I getting such grief about it?
Defense still gave up 34, that's worse than the other two games, they gave up 190 yards rushing, that's worse than the other two games.they made one stop inside the 5. Which otherwise would have been game over and not even give offense a chance. The last 7 seconds they were stupid stupid stupid

Sorry, I am not giving them a.pass.

Seems like everyone in the media and socials are blamimg Schottenheimer. And he did have a bad game for sure.

But how many times have we heard that Dak runs this offense at the line, Dak has as much control over the offense as any QB in the league... So why does the sideline playcaller get all the blame for days like today and not the $60 million dollar QB?

I not giving the defense a pass either.

But unlike you....I'm not giving dak, scottie, offense, or STs a pass either. That series we messed up the clock could have won us the game. Offense totally bungled it.

Good question. Is he elite or not?

If hes just a savant robot...okay. call him what he is.

I blame the terrible play design. They ran up and turned around in the end zone. Where is the creativity to spring a player free on the weak side. Or more misdirection, guile, motion, bunch formation, or anything but jump balls or run into the end zone and turnaround. Other teams do this in goal to go situations. Just not us.

Dak played fine today ....... he was on point, and did not turn the ball over.

He has never been a guy who will go win a game, with a few exceptions.

As of the end of the 2025 season, the Cowboys’ own statistical notes had Prescott at 24 game-winning drives from 2016–25, which was 5th-most among all NFL quarterbacks during that period.

Look it up.

You say “two or three” and the actual number is 24.

Just slightly off.
I'm talking about when you're losing in the final 2 minutes. It's not 24.
