TRADED Porter traded to Cowboys (2027/6th round, 2028/2nd round)

[StuckMojo]

Top of the market.

And the same agent as Parsons and Pickens

[Coogiguy03]

Honestly, I'm good with it

Exactly, can we really keep him and Pickens

[dstew60105]

you don’t sign him you get a comp 3rd back - stop letting people tell you we sold the farm it’s likely a 20 pick difference and 2 years down the line

It’s at least a 32 pick difference. Comp picks are the end of round three.

[XXLMike]

May he be our Thomas Everett

Good trade on paper

Godspeed kid

[Cowboyny]

Im gonna be in the minority, but I dont hate it for a 2nd. McDuffie went for a 1st. I think McDuffie is a little better, but they are in the same tier

Corner was going to be a high priority next offseason, not bad idea to fill it now and still keep our 1st rd pick.

[cwbyfan72]

Yall are hilarious. This is a needed upgrade regardless of our current pass rush. Instantly changes our DB room. I’m fine with a second in 28

[Cowboyny]

Looks like the cowboys/steelers have a very strong relationship as they keep on making deals with one another which is a good thing

[Ironicalicon]

We have a pair fraternity fantasy footballers named Jones running this thing.

This is the 31st straight ship they’ve built that is likely headed for the same iceberg. Imagine giving the architect of the Titanic 31 attempts to get a ship right.

It’s the definition of insanity.

[RustyBourneHorse]

Well, and that's the thing, we likely get two solid 3s in 2028 anyway for both of them. And, in the meantime, Revel, Porter, Downs, and Bland should be a lethal secondary.

[NDGAEDE]

You make the trade first then you find out if he will play or not. You would know this if you were a member of the family.

And of course we smartly protected ourself by making the 6th conditional.

Its kind of like trading a 3rd for a backup swing tackle to provide immediate help on the OL only to find out after the fact he can't actually play yet because he recently had spine surgery.

[JBS]

You , you aren’t going to get him for free

[ratkinson]

Look, hate on the trade or not, but the defense appears to have 4 outstanding building blocks, with one at each position.

DL - Quinnen Williams
LB - Jaishawn Barham
CB - Joey Porter Jr
S - Caleb Downs

I posted something similar before I read your post.

[Cowboyny]

I think CP just got his Q. Mitchell for our defense.

[Ranching]

Hey!!! Shut up!! Mike Tomlin is waiting in the wings and Porter is waiting for him.
Here we goooo!!!

[RustyBourneHorse]

So, I guess we're going to 9-8 Super Bowl? In all seriousness, I do like the pick. It's just kinda funny how he was announcing a pick for the Steelers when I was at the draft in Pittsburgh, and now he's a Cowboy lol.

[ratkinson]

Im willing to bet we trade for edge or lb at deadline

It depends. I can see it if the team still has a shot.

[slick325]

True.

Maybe they can draft and develop an edge rusher who is very good to elite/borderline elite for Dallas to trade for too.

[RustyBourneHorse]

he’s certainly an upgrade but my god do we desperately need DE more.

Maybe we get TJ Watt next?

[RustyBourneHorse]

What are we doing?

Steelers could use a tight end I hear. I just hoped they wouldve taken Schoon aka false start magnet away from us.

Honestly, why not try to offer him for one of their pass rushers? Maybe we can get Jack Sawyer or TJ Watt lol.

[rags747]

2028 2nd is pretty much a 2027 3rd or a 2026 4th, not too bad.
