Dak Prescott is elite in the final two minutes of games

Now that is some serious emotionally driven rationalization right there. You're using stats (celebrating stats) to push back. You can't semantics your way out of it.

Come on man. You're always posting these stats based Prescott celebration threads.
Do objective facts make you emotional

What hatred would that be?
You hate some fans that don't exactly agree with you. You;re putting alot of emotions into it.

We have people that can;t admit Dak messed up that play. Blame everyone BUT Dak. Then lash out at people that believe Dak could have done better on that play...regardless of defense or score or alleged strict instructions from coach.

Incapable of doing that very obvious thing... is emotion and hatred.

What's hilarious is the likes of YOU holding fans accountable, but not the super star "franchiseQB" Dak.

All Dak has to do is throwing a routine 5 yard TD pass....but that to you is too much to ask of him.

Talk about "Dak Derangement".

You said all he had to do is complete a routine 5 yard TD pass, but how was that possible if the receiver wasn't open until the ball was already gone due to his coach instructing him to do so if his first read wasn't open?

Did you realize that the RT got pushed back his direction before Pickens got open, therefore he threw the ball away, as he was instructed to by his head coach, to avoid getting sacked, then game over because you cant stop the clock or bring out the fg unit in time?

You know what, I'll tell you what. Show me how credible your football IQ is. Send me a link, pic, or video of a receiver being open to "throw a routine 5 yard TD to before the ball was released.

Or are you one of those few still hanging on to the whole "the receiver was open, the receiver was open" like you're the NFL version of a "Flat Earth" theorist? Lies don't turn into truths my guy. There's plenty football of no open receivers before the ball was thrown, just like there's plenty of footage proving the Earth isn't flat.

Prove me wrong.

Nothing related to the Dallas Cowboys makes me emotional.

Objective facts without context can be used to support a decidedly subjective opinion. Like you're doing here and do most every day with your celebration threads.

Here's an example.
2 and 5.

That's an objective fact.

Can that objective fact be used as the final word to support the opinion that Prescott chokes in the playoffs?

Your problem is you're on a mission to celebrate Prescott. That results in you seeing and interpreting things with that goal in mind. That causes you to not see some things you don't want to see and to interpret some things to suit your needs at the expense of reality.

It's an emotion based mindset hiding behind cherry picked "objective facts".

You can have elite QB play and still lose games. That happened a ton last year. Our defense was getting gashed. Dak had a great season.
By what critieria? Stats?

It's true the defense was bad. That absolves Dak from ANY form of criticism? Inlcuding specific game changing moments?

Vtwin has been showing us the defense in Ravens game gave Dak and offense opportunities, Certainly way more than usual... including a great opporutinity to force their will, show everyone how elite they truly are...step when needed (not in a blowout either way).

Did Dak have a "great" game?

I asked ONE SIMPLE QUESTION...and you couldn't do it.

So Dak you;re saying..in reality...Dak is to dumb or somehow incapable of taking what the defense gives him...that he follows exact instruction from the coach. ....no matter how (by your own words) STUPID it is. ...but Dak doesn't understand it's stupid.

So you say it's stupid but Dak doesn't understand it's stupid. I agree.
Wait, what?

I said clearly, without a doubt offense had a chance to win it and they didn't.

And Dak executed the play the HEAD COACH of the team.told him.to do.

But you are saying he should have ignored his coach and do what he wants.

And i dissected that play with images I posted, that when the ball was in the air, Pickens was covered and defender had the better position looking at the QB and peeled off when he saw the ball going towards back of the end zone

But given the DDS cult has an agenda to drive, and will pounce any thing outnof desperation to attack Dak completely ignore every other fact in front of them...to drive their agenda.

We are all used to DDS cult reactions by now.

For God's sake you celebrated the defense making a stop...think about that. We give 190 yarss rushing, 34 points, botch an easy play to keep the game tied and you literally celebrate one play and excuse the defense in your haste your haste to attack dak.

So let's say Dak sucked... what about the stupid defense in the last 7 seconds costing us a chance to get back on the field. How stupid was that. How bad was that? They couldn't make a simple.play with 7 seconds to go and not give up 30 yards pass. Knowing that was going to be the play

The defense clearly cost us that game

Embarrassing .

And Stevie, its becoming more and more clear you really dont much understand football. You are more TMZ than anything else.

Coach called for a throw away.
And to a casual half drunk fan it looked like a miss throw, but to the experts it was actually pickens being covered with CB having the better position to make the play

But I can see why someone like you would miss that... for the untrained eye its hard to see the little things

It doesn't absolve Dak.

But you absolve the defense from.fault in many of your comments.

This game was clearly lost because of the defense. Anyone with slight understanding of football could easily see that.

But casual fans like yourself miss things easily and your biases tend to mislead you

35 points, botched defense in last 7 seconds giving up a 30 yard pass, 190 yards rushing.
Objective facts

If all this is true, then explain why Dak said himself that he should have just stepped back into the throw and hit Pickens instead of throwing it out of bounds? He said it his bad self.

Also, we don't know exactely that the coach told him to just mail it in, he also could have told Dak if the throw is not there, mail it in, you know, two options.

It comes down that Dak did not even try, as soon as he got the ball he threw it away. IMO, I would have respected Dak had he at least tried to hit Pickens, good or bad, but he did not even try, and he said he regrets it also. Carry on...

It's a nonsense stat that doesn't show context. You'd rather have Dak in the last 2 minutes than Mahomes? Dak is clearly better according to this graphic.
That’s one QB out of 32 starters in the league. Does he have to be #1 before he’s recognized as the leader in about every category for which individual stats are kept?

If the debate is “is Dak the all-time greatest Cowboy QB” then I think that’s a healthy debate that could have lots of QB’s in the mix. If it is “is Dak ‘the problem’ or is the defense more to blame for our relative lack of success overall”, I think it’s clear that the defense is, by far, the bigger problem.

Last year, what was Dak’s rank among QB’s? Because the Cowboys defense was either 31st or 32nd, and even a casual observer could watch a Cowboys game and come away thinking our defense utterly sucked.

Hind sight is 20 20. Even for QBs

I posted a picture of the play. When the ball was in the air, pickens was covered, with pickens having his back to the play and CB in his chest looking back at the QB and he peeled off after he saw where the throw was going. And at the same time Steele being pushed back into Dak, less than a yard away.

Let's not forget, they did tie the game. Waiting to get the ball back. And defense couldn't make one very simple play, knowing exactly what the play was going to be.

We lost this game not because of that offensive play, it was lost because the defense sucks and expectations are for offense to always pull out a miracle or else.

9 teams won on Sunday scoring 30 points or less.

31 points should have been enough

When are stats “evidence of actual performance” and when are they useless?

Seems to me when they support the narrative that Dak is an elite QB, they’re useless. Those same stats are often used to point out why some other QB is better.

I do wonder how many people in here have ever taken an advanced college level statistics course.
