No problem making bold moves….provided you know WHEN to make them.

I can’t even think about what was probably lost during the MM era due to the refusal to do anything like this…even sign a HOF MLB that had something left for a modest salary. Nothing.

Now it looks like scrambling to be honest. Is this team a corner away? Doubtful.

I don’t dislike this deal, although I don’t value corners in general, mostly due to the rules not allowing them to actually play….its more about the approach of the front office, and doing the right thing at the wrong times, as well as the opposite.

Happy about today? We are 1-2. No one should be happy with the product we received through three games. Defensively the bright spots we have are 1st/2nd year players still in the development stage. It’s fair for fans to be concerned about future years and thinking that’s the best path for a championship. I wish Jerry would be concerned about winning now when free agency starts.

I don't think it's being worried about the future, it's more about taking away from the future, and not dealing with the current more pressing needs on this team....yes, there are many, but after this trade we still have ignored them. It IS weird.

The team hasn't won in 30 years, is 1-2 on the season and currently 8-11-1 under the new coach and they still can't be happy.

Some people were just born miserable.
