If you cant trust a 10+ year seasoned franchise quarteback to make decisions then everything is wrong with your organization from top to bottom
Trust had nothing to do with it, the coach had something in his mind that he had planned, and it just didn’t work, we had so many injuries,
I don’t know what he was thinking, none of us do, but I’m not blaming the quarterback, he did his job. We tied the game.

Well, the coach said himself, he told Prescott to throw it away, so you’re calling the coach a liar
Coaches do that to take the heat off a player after a controversial play. You saying coaches don't lie? What is with the hurry up play when they know they got away with something before the refs can catch it then?

I didn’t say coaches don’t lie, I asked if he called the coach, a liar,

You seem to have an agenda here, it’s like ,
I could be wrong, but you want to blame the quarterback
When he actually did his job, he tied the football game
And he never got an opportunity to get the ball back because Coach blew the next decision

People keep telling me I shouldn't use judgement and trust what my eyes are telling me on Video. But what you are claiming Dak being mad when he went over to the bench, I'm guessing happens around 19:36 of the highlight footage below. That looks more to me him realizing that he had an open guy, and if only he waited a bit more. But does he have a right to be mad if he is not a leader of this team and just follows the playcall?

Im not sure if you've ever played sports, but team leaders still listen to their coaches and follow the coaches instructions.

Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, Michael Jordan, LeBron James, aren't only leaders.... they are GOATS of their sports. How many times have you seen a time out called and the head coach wave them over in situations like that? When you saw head coaches put their arm around these greats talking to them or drawing up plays.....

What do you think they're discussing, who drives the best sports cars? No. The coaches are giving situational instructions. With that said, if GOATS can listen to their coaches as team leaders, then why can't a very good quarterback that is a team leader listen to his coach?

What Schotty told Dak to do was the smart play, because in normal situations, we had overtime to close it out. Unfortunately, most teams don't rip off a 27 yard pass in 6 seconds to win by a fg.

Thanks for the conversation people so many opinions. It was a horrible loss, because we could’ve won it,
I’m gonna let it go because. well just because

Absolutely not, but im sure he probably just followed the coach's instruction, knowing we were already in fg range and knew the capability we had as an offense, believing we would have an overtime to play in.

Im pretty sure if he knew that the Ravens would complete a 27 yard pass play in 6 seconds shortly after that, he probably would have audibled out of it and took a chance.

Here's the thing though. Let's say Dak would have extended the play and got sacked, then game over.... then during the post game, it was revealed that Schotty told him to clock it if the first read wasn't opened and he got sacked and actually single-handedly loss the game?

The same people here who blamed him for throwing it away, despite the coach's orders, would be the same people here saying, "why didn't he throw it away like the coach told him to knowing we didn't have any timeouts left"?

Im not saying you're one of those people, but there's a crowd of people here who aren't very smart when it comes to evaluating NFL talent and understanding how football is played.... and im doing them a HUGE favor by describing them as "aren't very smart". Its actually much worse than that as far as their intelligence goes.

With that said, Dak is damned if he do, damned if he don't. No matter what Dak does, when Dallas lose games, those same extremely low IQ crowds are going to point fingers at him first, no matter how the Cowboys lose.
Yeah, well, I won't discuss this with you if you go into insult mode as usual. Carry on.

I don’t understand why there was only one read there
Yeah, add something else to the scenario, lol

I don’t know why we had a illegal motion, which meant it was a pass, so I don’t know why the heck we just didn’t run the damn ball just like in the beginning of the game

'cause people that have video where they can absolutely see the referee back there reaching as if he was posturing for it he was staring at it had that ball being completed you don't know if that would have happened So now I don't want your ugly video ...
Wow Blueblood can afford the latest and highest technology when it comes to getting a Giant TV screen where he can see the refs exact motions. :( But unfortunately in 2026 there isn't some sort of technology to add punctuation to text. Again, why would that ref still not throw the flag if he saw a penalty.
Did the TV also capture Dak giving him a silent nod, and the ref giving him nod in return, that said if you wouldn't have thrown that ball out I would've thrown that flag? But wait, isn't the ref still potentially cheating the ravens out of something by not throwing the flag?

Why are you so adamant about placing blame on a player that listened to his coach? You really are weirdly driven to make Dak at fault and that isn't the case. Now you're accusing the coach of lying?

I swear I hope you aren't a cop.... you'd plant guns and drugs on people you didn't like, no matter how innocent they are. You give off that vibe my guy. Please tell me you aren't in law enforcement.

If you are, please do me a solid, and let me know what city you patrol so I could avoid it at all costs.

I think the called play was quick-hitting, which suggests it was a one-read-only play. EDIT: the Bengals video appears to be a one-read-only play as well.

The Bengals video took place in the 1st quarter with over 2 minutes left and all 3 timeouts. Its not the same situation. There no urgency in the 1st quarter.

Lmao
This is nothing against the guy that you sent this to, but wow, I love it, lol ha, cowboy zone

Yes. You had already specified the videos differ between fourth and first quarter situations, which I had stated in the OP originally. Are you stating all one-read-only plays occur in the fourth quarter only?

I think he’s saying it doesn’t have the same stress level

But I haven’t been right for a while, lol

There was a thread on this board about the difference between Tony and Dak, where a former player was saying that one time Garrett made a gutless call and Tony told the team in the huddle that they were going for the win despite that. I feel the same as those guys who made the video, that not going for it was spineless and cost us the game. I wouldn't blame a quarterback for being a leader and deciding that Garrett or Shoddy gave them the wrong call, and to go for it. I never liked the Headcoach pick to begin with, so given an obvious you should've went for it in retrospect moment caught on video, why shouldn't I blame the QB for not being a true leader. Would Aikman listened to Shoddy on such a BS call or made the play? Would I've been mad at Aikman if he threw it away in the same situation. Obviously..

Looking at the video for the 15th time
I think Prescott actually threw it to Pickens, but he choked in. The ball went flying,
That’s a whole new perspective
