No, I’m putting the loss directly on the head coach
For more than five reasons, if you’d like need to explain further, I will
I understand you put the loss on the head coach. That is understood. You seem to agree with other members that the stress, associated with the first quarter video, is not as high as the stress associated with the fourth quarter video.

The videos reflect what happened on the field. The videos show how the players performed during the similar respective plays. If you are emphasizing stress as a cause for reason behind the result of both plays, it means the players were affected by the stress--not the head coach.

These are professional National Football League players. So, again, are you emphasizing how the professional NFL players performed due to the stress levels they felt in the fourth and first quarters?

I keep my eye on where Dak head is looking at, and that is where he throws the ball to like it was always planned to be done. that is before things go out of hand with any passrush, IMO, and his head is facing that way before pickens even gets to the endzone.
I agree, which is why I believe the play called for a quick one-read only decision.

I totally understand
And I should not be speaking for other posters
Personally, it doesn’t matter if it’s the first play, or the last play for me, the stress level would be the same
I liked the comparison
I’m military, I’m taught, you’re already dead, you’re already lost, so you might as well just function the best you can and not worry about it

Shatty, "Remember you're a choker, just take the snap and throw it away, will play for overtime because you suck"

Somebody answer this quesiton for me: If all the HC wanted to do is throw the ball away, why even risk 3 seconds and not just have Dak spike it, like every other QB does in the final seconds of a game changing drive? If he didn't?

To answer the question at hand: If Dak is your guy, you tell him GP is the play, and if you can't get the ball to him, throw it away

Well, if the coach told Dak to mail it in, that is not on Dak. That has to be on the coach that got hired from down the hall in his office down the corner from Jerra's office I guess. Stupd coach.

I have a question also
Why would you kick the ball into the end zone, on the pursuing play rather than into the field of plate to run the clock out
That’s the last opportunity we had to send this into overtime, and coach blew that .

Another thing about the kicking game. Why did Aubry kick it out of bounds twice giving the ball back to the Ravens at the 40?

You seem to have an agenda here, it’s like ,
I could be wrong, but you want to blame the quarterback
When he actually did his job, he tied the football game
And he never got an opportunity to get the ball back because Coach blew the next decision
A quarterback in his 11th year, who has been here longer than a no-name-coach, has the opportunity to be a leader but has to do what the playcall is. You telling me Troy and Roger would've done the same? I'm not the only one who is having this reaction, since we seen and heard about people all over having the same reaction. In fact, some think that the head coach had enough sense to know what the public reaction would be, and said what he said to the media to take some heat off his quarterback.

I'm not a believer in the quarterback, who back in 2016 though would surpass romo and compared him to the likes of Big Ben back then, until doubts about him started surfacing in 2018. He certainly does not compare to that Super Bowl winning quarterback.

But honestly, I keep getting told that he is such a great leader, and then a play like this contradicts that, and now I am being told he has to follow the play call like a backup quarterback, by an unproven, 2nd rate head coach. That is not supposed to insult my intelligent. Then next week, the same people that are asking me to buy that will go back to saying he is a great leader, despite the weird claims they made this week. Now what is your Agenda?

I would like to say I recognize stress is involved. However, stress is involved in every play. Stress levels do increase when the situation changes BUT that is what players, like military, train for. They are prepared to deal with the stress of every situation.

Emphasizing stress on the players is creating a counterargument that the players are incapable of performing when it judged to be 'too high'. That is unfair in my opinion. If stress is introduced into this conversation, I would rather focus on Schottenheimer succumbing to any stress in that moment than the players.

We missed field goals
We stopped running it when we were running it down their throats on the first drive
Shuffle pass to the tight end, to the tight end lol
First and goal at the end of the game, motion, penalty
That means they were going to pass rather than run the ball again down their throat when they were tired
The whole game was just a Brazilian
Circus

Obviously stress was the wrong word,
The issue is this thread is stressing me lol
I think coach is on the job training, and I really wanted him to survive succeed
And he may survive, only Jerry knows that, now that’s some stress for you

That shuffle pass made me think, WTH was that! lol. This whole team needs an intervention from someone.

I don’t think they are stressed, it’s their job, if there’s any stress, it’s for the kicker lol

Im not sure if you've ever played sports, but team leaders still listen to their coaches and follow the coaches instructions.

Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, Michael Jordan, LeBron James, aren't only leaders.... they are GOATS of their sports. How many times have you seen a time out called and the head coach wave them over in situations like that? When you saw head coaches put their arm around these greats talking to them or drawing up plays.....

What do you think they're discussing, who drives the best sports cars? No. The coaches are giving situational instructions. With that said, if GOATS can listen to their coaches as team leaders, then why can't a very good quarterback that is a team leader listen to his coach?

What Schotty told Dak to do was the smart play, because in normal situations, we had overtime to close it out. Unfortunately, most teams don't rip off a 27 yard pass in 6 seconds to win by a fg.
We see what level of football you played, when you think an NFL Quarterback is the same as a High School Quarterback. NFL Starting Quarterback can change the play, without getting in trouble. It is in fact expected for them to do so. Are you telling me that Dak is subpar or defective in some manner compare to other starting quarterbacks? We had another thread with a former player telling the story about how Romo got a gutless call from Jason Garrett and went to the huddle, and told them about the call but they were going to go for the win. That is an instance of leadership, especially if your play caller is incompetent.

All right guys back on topic sorry
My personal opinion, truly
I think Prescott wanted to go to Pickens
I think his mechanics were off because he chokes
Every time there’s an important play or the game is on the line that’s meaningful, he loses his mechanics
And that’s that that’s how I feel
I think he was intending to go to Pickens, and the ball just took off, I seen him do it before to Elliot and another time. I just don’t recall the play. There’s been too many.
