Cowboys O scoring at a historic pace

[Nav22]

Will we ever have a great defense to pair with this O?

Or a good defense?

Or an adequate defense?

[Kevinicus]

What does "historic" even mean?

[Dorsett99Yards]

Let's start by stopping the run then fix our secondary.

How are we scoring at a historic pace if we are 5th in the league in scoring. So that means the 4 teams ahead of us are at a historic rate?

Cowboys O scoring at a historic pace

This season isn't about that. It starts and end with the D.

Per drive. Our defense does not get the ball back to the offense. If we had a defense we would score 40+ points a game.

The chart does not show scoring for this season among all teams; it measures teams since 2000. The 2026 Cowboys are behind the 2020 Packers, the 2024 Whatchamacallums, etc.

Points per drive.

Read the post.

Now show how historic our defense is

That 2007 season was so fun to watch watch until the end. I enjoyed it though. I missed the feeling of joy and optimism I had. I didn’t think we were better than the Patriots but I thought we could compete in a game with them.

The defense is incrementallly getting better by the week , so hopefully sometime this year?

Look at the years.

Was this thread started just to bash the D or did it get sidetracked from the very first post?

4th in the last 6 years = "historic" now.

I think it’s saying last 20 years not last 6.

Yes. So, I actually know what historic is supposed to mean.

This ain't it.

The top 3 are in the last 6 years. That makes the Cowboys 4th in the last 6 years.

In no way does that classify as anything resembling "historic."

It's also comparing 4 games to full seasons.
