Dak Top 5. Let's talk argument against it

I have never seen Dak play as good as Nick Foles did in that Super Bowl. Just saying.

And that is very true, but you didn't answer the question and Dak isn't qualified to be in the conversation with the Superbowl quarterbacks I've listed, so let’s try again.

I could put together a list like this, Nick Foles, Trent Dilfer, Jim McMahon, Jim Kelly, and Brad Johnson.

Then I can follow it up with, everyone on that list won the Superbowl EXCEPT Jim Kelly.

According to the preset logic, what does this mean? Does it mean Kelly isn't better than these other quarterbacks because he wasn't able to WIN a Superbowl like the others were able to do?

Again, what should I take from this?

Not an honest argument. He still made the big dance four times. When Dak sniffs a championship game then we can talk

I agree with you about Dak. If he can help the Cowboys get to that point then yes, we can talk but I clearly stated that Dak isn't qualified to be in the same conversation with these Superbowl quarterbacks, so im not understanding why you keep bringing him up in this conversation.

Now you mentioned he made the big dance 4 times and didn't win. This makes it even worse. Trent Dilfer, Nick Foles, Brad Johnson and Jim McMahon all went to the big dance and won the Superbowl on their first attempts.... yet Kelly couldn't win in FOUR TRIES??

Again, what does this mean according to the preset logic?

Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes do it all the time

Not putting Dak with those guys but when they do it theyre praised
Mahomes and Allen are praised because of their playoff success.

They're considered Big-Game Fish (Swordfish/ Baracuda) in the pecking order.

Prescott is considered more of an accomplished bottom-feeder that feasts on teams with losing records in the regular season.

Until that narrative changes, he's a Catfish.

It means if you have a top 5 ALL-TIME defense AND a great running game (Dilfer, Johnson, McMahon) OR get lucky enough to catch lightning in a bottle for a game or 2 (Foles), you can possibly win a SB with a qb that is generally booty cheeks.

Dak is a Plecostomus.

Dak is a good QB. He's one of the better QBs in the league right now, but he has anxiety issues when the lights get too bright. He's not the only one. There's been lots of QBs that had the same issue. It's not a crime, just the way it is.

Yes, Dak could theoretically get us to a championship game, but he has to overcome that mental hurdle, and also Father Time is catching up to him. He better do it soon, or he will stay in the Hall of Pretty Good rather than make the Hall of Fame.

Statistically speaking Dak is better here too.

Accounting for injuries for both players Daks come from behind % is 16.08% vs Hurts 15.62%

As a comparison only Mahomes tops Dak at 16.94% of comebacks in games played.
Okay.

What do we have to show for it?

Romo STILL gets blasted a a loser. Do we fight to the death for HIM? Or...is it a "team game" .

There's not a list this week that had him lower than 7. He's gonna move up this week, even...probably up to everyone's Top 5. He had 350 yards and a clutch last minute touchdown pass.
He’s been near the top of the league statistically several times the last 6 or so years. Led the league in TDs in 2023, near the top a few other years. People acting like he’s not even top 10 is just ignorance, or they are being disingenuous.

HEY DID THE DALLAS COWBOYS TEAM WIN? Did you see Gary and Q prove doubters wrong? Again, are you a fan of this team? Let's debate how the team did, and how bad Filthy is maybe? Good lord
So when we win its team win.

But when we lose its Dak's fault.

Did I get it right?

I knew this thread was coming right after the game was over,
Dak pulled out a victory in the final 2 minutes, Great for him and the team. What about the 99% of the time he chokes.

Lamb bailed him out today with a monster game,
So when we win, its CD and rest of the team or the other team sucks.

But when we lose its Dak's fault.

A picture's worth a thousand words. How about stat wise, you like stats right, Dak was outplayed today by his opponent's counterpart. And I know Dak fans only share the blame and not credit, but what about Ceedee? There were more QBs that can do what Dak did today than there are receivers who can do what Ceedee did.

On a side note, I never noticed your Avatar before today. I didn't know you were a female fan. If I've ever been rude, i'm sorry. Although you don't appear to be overly sensitive.
What would Dak's stat be if he played against cowboys defense!!!

And per usual, when we win its, he got out played and it was CD

But when we lose its his fault.

Did I get that right?
