Cowboys to open practice window for Tyler Smith

LOL, no. Steele is better than Broderick Jones substantially. Jones got the kicked blocked yesterday and has been poor on the line in limited action.
I think Steele is fine but this is mostly nonsense.

Jones has played exactly one offensive snap and it was the throwaway at the end of the Baltimore game. I guess that's technically limited, but I think you're mostly making things up.

No team in the NFL is perfect along their entire offensive line. Most teams are an absolute mess at multiple positions.

And Bland needs to play the slot, where he shines. That will happen with Porter and Durant handling the outside with Revel as the outside backup.

If this team can get healthier with Smith, Thompson, Durant, Revel, Overshown, and Locke returning soon, things will look better. I still have CP on close watch though.

Problem is, injuries are killing teams across the NFL. Players get hurt so easily these days. Hamstrings everywhere. Those were pretty rare 20 years ago.
Exactly.

Run game has got to get better.

They were sitting in a heavy zone and we really needed to run yesterday and couldn’t do it.

We can’t always depend on Dak’s arm. We know this.

If you depend on Dak completely he will eventually let you down when the lights get bright.
do the Bills rely on Allen? The Ravens on Lamar? The Rams on Stafford? and on and on and on.

in an ideal world, smith would be playing one of the tackle spots. guyton and smith would make a really good set of tackles. you can get by with bass at guard. steele is the biggest weakness on the line by far.

All 3 of those teams are top 10 in rushing yards per game.

Kind of the opposite of Dallas.
who cares... 2 of them have QBs that run a ton.... and I bet they arent top 5 in passing. Are the Cowboys? Bottom line is those teams all fall off the map if they lose their qb.

Cook is 2nd in rushing at 6.0 per carry....

Rams back is 12th and 5.4 per carry....

Henry 3rd in rushing, 4.2 per carry with an injury ravaged oline....

Meanwhile our back is at 3.7 per carry....

i dont care if they have a back avg 8 yards a carry, remove allen from buffalo and watch how quick that oiffense sucks.

You dont think Cook gets more YPC because they have to account for Allen?
Samewith Henry and Lamar?

Im not sure where this idea originated from. Smith is an all pro OG. You leave him there unless an absolute emergency comes up.

He is by far a better guard than he could ever be at tackle. I get people hate Steele, and an upgrade is needed, but not at expense of weakening another position.
