Cowboys are firing on one cylinder

Again, no way was Jerry paying not one, but two coordinators to not coach for him.

No matter how bad the guy was or is.
Just yet another fatal flaw in our front office method of operation.
You would think we were on a shoe string budget, not the world’s most valuable franchise.
Cowboys fans deserve better than this and should demand better!

— Offense is third in NFL averaging 30.1 ppg.

— Christian Parker’s defense is the only one in NFL history allowing 375 ypg with no INT through first 4 games.

— ST coach Nick Sorensen has only group to allow multiple blocked FG attempts this season.
Madness.

Everything falls on the offense while no other unit picks up the slack.

He should have been gone in the off season. I called for him to be replaced many times and was shocked he was retained. The special teams were embarrassingly bad.

The fact he didn't clean up the blocking after the first blocked kick against Baltimore and Houston exploited it into another blocked kick can't be defended. It reeks of incompetence and that is unacceptable.

To put it bluntly - what the hell are we doing? It seems as though he has nine lives or compromising pictures of Schotty. Because despite his best effort, he can't get fired. He needs a fire lit under his *** to improve the performance more than the slight uptick in the return game we've seen.
I have said again and again he must have a picture of Schotty with a goat.

Remember it's Shoddy's defense and his ST ultimately. He shouldn't be a head coach of all he can handle is being an OC.

And him and Sorensen's ST is completely inexcusable. They all all pro punter, an all pro returner, and an all pro kicker... And they can't seem to figure out blocking and holding.

I think Meat Loaf would agree that 1 outta 3 is bad.

Cowboys HC Brian Schottenheimer calls the offensive plays for an offense that remains exceptional. The team has performed poorly in two of three phases, however.

Just like a bat out of hell, Risen

Sorensen doing lousy with arguably the best kicker, punter, and punt/kick returner in football says a lot. Not to mention a TE that turns into Ray Lewis on coverages…..

For the defense, who’s up next year for the DQ reunion tour?……

Our two wins are against a 1-3 and 0-4 team. Our two losses against 3-1 teams.

We are good enough to beat bad teams but not good teams .

Fortunately we have another bad team tonight at 0-4.

The product that we see on the field. Does it look like they practice it and review details to you?
Following that logic, I guess they aren’t practicing defense either.

Just 25 guys sitting in the lounge shotgunning Gatorade while the offense practices.

They should spend that time playing Madden. It would at least increase their situational awareness.

Nick and Brian are good friends from what I've read... And we know how nepotism and cronyism goes around in this organization.

If the defense stays this bad or at best gets into the top 20 range by end of year, you can’t have a special teams unit also making critical mistakes, it’s imperative that gets cleaned up
I’d fire CP before Sorenson.

I’d fire CP before Sorenson.
I think that'd be a mistake. It's 4 games in, man. A lot of us have been saying since even before CP was hired that the next DC would need some time to right the ship — and that time is not 4 games; probably not even 8. By week 10, if we're not seeing marked improvement THEN it's time to start asking the hard questions. Just my opinion, though, and everyone's entitled to their own.
