Twitter: Are the Eagles imploding?

It’s not like there are not other teams that have Super Bowl aspirations in the NFC. The Eagles imploded before, recovered, got back to the top. They’re going to have to get lean before they get to the top again. So what?

Better to have at least succeeded and then failed than to simply keep falling short for virtually ever. Do you suspect this so called Eagles implosion means they won’t get into a Super Bowl for the next 30 years. That would be difficult for their fans, I’m sure.
Why would it be difficult? Before the first SB win, the iggles fans were already used to not getting to the big game. We will see if they can make it back. I hope they never do.

Eagles are tearing it down with a plan to rebuild in a year or two for another run. That will never happen here. Jerry and Stephen are too comfortable having a team good enough to compete hoping it gets lucky one year. Hasn't happened in over three decades.

The Cowboys keep enough talent around to win just enough games to remain average, keeping them out of the top of the draft and keeping Jerry's hopes high they are "close". This explains a lot of the differences between Dallas and Philly.

Lane Johnson chose to retire - that was his call. And if another team wants to offer you a second rounder for maybe the worst OLman in the league, you take it.

Philly is the same old Philly IMO. It's all about how well they can manage Hurts' limitations, and right now, a combination of scheme and under-performing talent isn't letting them hide him.

What?
They are not at the point of being a bare cupboard.
They are not one player away. But could be only 2 or 3. You do not implode to to rebuild at this point.
You are making my point for me. They traded for Pickens Williams and Porter. They’re always three or four players away because they put themselves in that position. instead if they had traded Ferguson when they traded Micah or traded bland when they traded Micah or even traded Dak when they traded Micah that would’ve been a rebuild scenario.

You’re always going to say this isn’t the right time to blow it up because the Cowboys put themselves into position to never blow it up. But this exact same tactic has always landed them as a low-grade playoff team at best over the last 30 years.

I'm not an eagles fan. I just find it amusing. Dad, this board after one or two wins starts looking down at other teams that aren't doing so well. Reminds me of the amnesia that takes place between seasons.

I heard the terrible 105.3 morning show the other day. Talk about how they think the Steelers are imploding and that they love it.

How about just focusing on what your team is doing and knowing that your team hasn't done crap for 30 years and implodes every other season.

What making your point. No way.
You said blow it up. Then they will be 15 players away, not 2 or 3 or 4.

The only stud player they have on offense that can stay healthy is Mailata, and I would count Smith because he usually stays healthy. They need to see if Bell can play RT. Steen is not a good run blocker. They will need at least six new players on offense within two years.

I believe Howie is looking to trade Hurts, $70 million cap hit be damned.

You can read here how unpleasant it is to seemingly never get to a Super Bowl for almost a generation. Philadelphia’s three Super Bowls in 10 years, two wins…that’s a nice run. Now Eagles fans get to feel some despair, again.

None of that means the Cowboys are winning a Super Bowl anytime soon, of course. One NFL franchise’s problems does not solve another’s.

I believe that's what's happening they have enough talent and depth to overcome this in this weak division this year I think everybody is overreacting and that's what they want they want you to be overconfident when you come to play them and they can get it together really quick if they come up with a better plan especially on offense utilizing Barkley and Hurts in a run heavy offense.. its what Moore did,

so dont sleep on them..

You remember the year they started out with 10 straight wins and then they faltered at the end Well they got to step back together fairly quickly the next year so I think this is all overreactions by everyone including the media and the Cowboys fan base I think they're just gonna bow out this year I don't think so..
hey i’m right there with you buddy. i bleed green just like every other true zoner.

Every season a minimum of 75% of division winners do not go to the Super Bowl. Sometimes as many as 87.5% don’t. It’s possible 100% don’t.
Every season contenders don't go to the Super Bowl. Division winners are contenders.

Eagles are lucky not to be 0-4

Always an excuse why Dallas wins.Never given any credit for actually winning.
However what you say is the difference in most games, regardless of the teams records.
YEp, they have not played very well....they are lucky to be 2-2 and now the real crap is about to hit the fan.

The Eagles started out 2-2 in 2024 and won the Super Bowl.

I would be careful about predicting their demise. They have been declared dead before only to rise up at the end of the season.

Jimmy Johnson's "stick a fork in them" prediction that one season immediately comes to mind.

Besides, this is the NFC East where teams are most dangerous when they are being written off.

No no no Not at all I am not an Eagles fan i'm a true Blue Cowboys fan just speaking the truth I mean I'm just a realist so no no I'm not your buddy I hate the Eagles more than I hate the commanders and the giants and you can throw in the Packers The Steelers and the 49ers and as the other groups we hate..

And I wouldn't say every other we probably have about 20% in here that our other teams people but as long as we keep it clean and friendly I don't ignore those but I probably will end up ignoring you someday but no I don't believe green blue blood did you not get the name Blue Blood I believe blue..lol

But that doesn't mean I can't speak clearly II that's my feelings I just believe that the division is for anyone to take right now and I wouldn't be turning my back on the shegals.
