Start with drafting a QB in the first round and hiring a good head coach.
The fact that the offense was totally unprepared to handle a Tod Bowles blitzing defense is bizarre. I’d fire the DC and get a new offensive play caller now and then after the year sell the damn team to Mark Cuban or something.I don't think there is much they can do.
Talent issues aside, this is a poor coaching staff by any measure. And you can't change that 5 games into a season.
For for full disclosure, I was a Parker guy when he was hired. I was happy we went with a young, up and coming name. It looks like my excitement was misplaced. He clearly is struggling to keep his head afloat. You can't tell me, if the guy on the other sideline, Todd Bowles, was coaching our exact defensive roster, they wouldn't be a much better defense. They would.
I'll say it until I am blue in the face but Jerry's biggest issue over 30 years hasn't been his roster decisions. It's been a three decade track record of hiring bad or the wrong coaches over and over and over and over and over.
There is a reason Schotty was in the league for decades without a sniff of a HC gig.
Really depressing feeling knowing in the first week of October that there is nothing that can fix that and that we are likely to live this nightmare for another few years as there is zero chance Jerry makes wholesale changes to the coaching staff this offseason.
Pound that little chest of yours.By the way SchizoRockport has surfaced again.
He spends all offseason ripping fans who criticize Jerry and the decisions he made and then once the season goes to poop, he suddenly wants to criticize Jerry and the front office.
LOL.
I'm pretty sure you are right. We have to forget about the days of "It's the Dallas Cowboys, every coach on the planet wants to coach this team". We could get back to that at some point, but not how the team is currently operated. That’s the sad thing. Harbaugh would never take this job.

You’re blind if you can’t see the new culture that Schotty is building.By the way SchizoRockport has surfaced again.

I agree; with a top notch coaching staff this team is 5-0The Cowboys are a better team on paper than on the field.
That is 100% on the coaching staff.
Need further proof? Fire Schotty and hire Jimmy and watch what happens.
great culture for a clown showYou’re blind if you can’t see the new culture that Schotty is building.
It’s ironic. Schottenheimer did change the culture. He just changed it to an even softer culture. If that was possible.great culture for a clown show
Unfortunately, that will never happen. Stephen has a bigger ego than his dad.In all seriousness, I don't know you can fix this team without a complete front office replacement.
They've replaced coaches, coordinators, players and training staff many times over the years.
Jerry needs to retire or sell the team. Stephen needs to shift into owner mode and hire a real intelligent and no-nonsense GM.
They need to fire all of the scouts and draft/personnel staff and start over with a new mindset and philosophy.
They need to stop trying to remake the 1990s teams and they need to stop chasing the latest Super Bowl winning team trends.
After 30 years, it's time for an organizational reset, not just a coaching or player reset.
This is what some of your critics have said. It needs to be acknowledged thank youThe coaching is obviously the biggest issue. The Cowboys have enough talent on defense to play better than they have. You can tell the defensive players have no confidence. They don’t know what they’re suppose to do. Parkers Master class has failed miserable.
On offense and on paper, the team has more than enough talent to be a top 3 offense yet last night they were totally inept. Dak was getting blitzed on almost every play and the OC had NOTHING prepared to face a Tod Bowles defense.
Jerry’s build the best, plushiest training facility at the Star. Everything and anything the players could want. He coddles the stars and lets it be known the buck stops here. Well Jerry, since the buck stops with you and you’re THE problem what are you going to do?
For the fans, what would you do to fix the team at this point in the season? Is there anything? The Cowboys have become the laughing stock of the NFL so something needs to change. Defense gave up the most yards they have all season to an undrafted QB making only his 2nd start on a 0-4 team. As the stadium worker said and so accurately, “Embarrassing.” Dak knows it and is why he got upset because he’s frustrated there’s nothing he can do. Every player should be pissed.
I’m not one to give up and I’m not, but something needs to change or they’ll continue to be the laughing stock of the NFL.
Go Cowboys!
Ironic that above is exactly what you do all offseason when people try and tell you to what you are now complaining about and "pointing out" (and rightfully so) is exactly what will/may happen. So maybe finally show a little humility and point out that others actually were, gasp, right about many aspects of this (your culture change throwdown being front and center).Pound that little chest of yours.
Once again, the voice of reason on this forum. In all seriousness, I don't know you can fix this team without a complete front office replacement.
