What can be done to fix the team?

By the way SchizoRockport has surfaced again.

He spends all offseason ripping fans who criticize Jerry and the decisions he made and then once the season goes to poop, he suddenly wants to criticize Jerry and the front office.

LOL.
You just watch your mouth and follow his lead.

The coaching is obviously the biggest issue. The Cowboys have enough talent on defense to play better than they have. You can tell the defensive players have no confidence. They don’t know what they’re suppose to do. Parkers Master class has failed miserable.

On offense and on paper, the team has more than enough talent to be a top 3 offense yet last night they were totally inept. Dak was getting blitzed on almost every play and the OC had NOTHING prepared to face a Tod Bowles defense.

Jerry’s build the best, plushiest training facility at the Star. Everything and anything the players could want. He coddles the stars and lets it be known the buck stops here. Well Jerry, since the buck stops with you and you’re THE problem what are you going to do?

For the fans, what would you do to fix the team at this point in the season? Is there anything? The Cowboys have become the laughing stock of the NFL so something needs to change. Defense gave up the most yards they have all season to an undrafted QB making only his 2nd start on a 0-4 team. As the stadium worker said and so accurately, “Embarrassing.” Dak knows it and is why he got upset because he’s frustrated there’s nothing he can do. Every player should be pissed.

I’m not one to give up and I’m not, but something needs to change or they’ll continue to be the laughing stock of the NFL.

Go Cowboys!
Culture, Greek dancing, culture, paintball, culture, GOTI, GOMA!, culture, crying, culture...

In all seriousness, I don't know you can fix this team without a complete front office replacement.

They've replaced coaches, coordinators, players and training staff many times over the years.

Jerry needs to retire or sell the team. Stephen needs to shift into owner mode and hire a real intelligent and no-nonsense GM.

They need to fire all of the scouts and draft/personnel staff and start over with a new mindset and philosophy.

They need to stop trying to remake the 1990s teams and they need to stop chasing the latest Super Bowl winning team trends.

After 30 years, it's time for an organizational reset, not just a coaching or player reset.
This x 100

The only way to fix this team is for the Jones family to hire a football knowledgeable GM and stay out of football operations.

That will never happen. So there is no fixing this team.

Wow .......... 180 degrees from what this guy was saying a month ago

I’m shocked at how many people think they’re gonna have a bad record.

Couldnt have said it any better....or posted

The press/fan base need to harass Jerry until he hires a coach.
It happened once when he hired Parcells and it needs to happen again.

Nothing can be done unfortunately outside of bringing in a consultant.

They generally go with a vet DC/former HC and this season they did not. Now they have no experience to fall back on. At least Flus and Zimm had that.

This whole crap show is being run by Stephen folks. Stephen is the Schotty backer and Schott chose CP. He also chose Sorensen.

It needs to start at the top. If that stays the same, nothing else matters.

Not Barry Switzer, Chan Gailey, Dave Campo, Bill Parcells, Wade Phillips, Jason Garrett, Mike McCarthy, or Brian Schottenheimer at head coach.

Not Troy Aikman, Anthony Wright, Quincy Carter, Ryan Leaf, Clint Stoerner, Chad Hutchinson, Vinny Testaverde, Drew Henson, Drew Bledsoe, Tony Romo, or Dak Prescott at quarterback.

Not Ryan Stewart, Paul Pasquoloni, Rob Ryan, Monte Kiffin, Rod Marinelli, Dan Quinn, Mike Zimmer, Matt Eberflus, or Christian Parker at defensive coordinator.

The Jones family has been the common denominator for 100 percent of the past 31 years. Any fix means they have to go. And they are not.
:yourock:

I call it like I see it. I bet most posters here also see it.

And you'll do it again this offseason. By March/April 2027 you'll be ripping fans as haters. Then October/November 2027 rolls around and you'll be back criticizing Jerry as our season unravels again.
Bingo

If you’re a hater, which you are, then yeah, I’ll be ripping you relentlessly. Just like you rip me for being positive. Still can’t figure out the morality of that. Because there is none.

The only thing that will fix this team is very Jerry to step down.
He has proven without a shadow of a doubt he does not know how to hire HCs
or construct a roster.
He does nothing to instill a winning culture, rather his constant sunshine pumping and no accountability gives the players
a false sense of entitlement.
He has destroyed a once proud franchise.
But hey, he's made billions so maybe he is the real winner here.
The fans sure are not.
