I am really trying to understand our QB

The bad part about Dak last night was that an undrafted rookie QB made more plays than he did to win the game. Dak is an 11yr vet that should have shown little man up.

Yes the defense failed, but the opportunities we did get, we had to punt after dak had one of many bad throws.

I cant believe he is an 11yr vet, and I watched Dak have such a worried or scared look on his face at times during the game, while the "one read and run" kid had the ******* smile on his face all night.

We sucked as a team last night, but this one is on dak in the grand scheme of things. A close game like this, at the end of the day, the ball is still in your hand, leaving your hand, based on the decision you make, that pings in your brain.

Tampa was almost just as bad, but atleast their QB (who looks like he was just called out of a high school 5th period class room to play QB for the bucs) out played dak.

I am really sick of dallas constant QB stupidity. The 20+ years between Dak and Romo, i dont know who was worse.

I have faith that our next 10+ year 4th or 5th round QB is sitting somewhere in a small college, will once again provide false hopieum and divide the fan base of supporters and non supporters.

I dont know if I have another 10+ years of mental for that. And you all know that is what's coming after dak leave, it never stops.
GET. OFF. DAK

Dak is not the problem. You might need to evaluate your personal biases here.

So sick of you guys who want us to bring in someone who looks like Howdy Doody or Andy Dalton or something.

30 years. What championship? What are you t talking about.
Jerry would not be able to win with mahomes. He would find a way to run him too

But go ahead point to Dak. Its the easiest thing to do.

Championship...seriously. how old are you
Old enough to remember when we won championships and what a championship QB really looks like. It aint Dak

You'd be worried also knowing that you'll have to put up 30 point's or more to win before the game even begins:facepalm: Dak is about the only QB in the whole NFL having to deal with this . Not just every game but every season,,,That kind of pressure is crazy. I have only respect for Dak when it comes to this .... Many other guys would had cracked under this pressure by now.......SAD.....Sad in deed...Mahomes-Allen-Jackson doesn't have this pressure.
In 7 of the last 10 years, the Cowboys’ defense has been above average. The last two years have been horrible, but for the majority of that decade, the defense has not been bad.

Oh, you had everyone fooled ;)

That was a question wink wink

Just another for you to complain about Dak, because thats all you got , nothing but complaints.

The contract was handed out two years ago. Which I was advocating against.

Did you know defense would be this bad after three years? Did anyone?

We have had three bad defensive drafts in a row. This year seems to be different with downs and braham.
On top of that trading for less than jags like Murray, Gary and winters.

Its not about money going to dak. 12 teams have QBs with 50M salary or more, yet they build defenses. 10M is not the issue with Dallas.

Our idiot GM just throws out draft picks and his scouting department cant find any defensive players in the draft outside of getting lucky.

Worst run franchise in all of NFL.
Logic is logic. If you don't like it is in on you. You can present it in the form of a question, so that the other person can attempt to answer the question, and by doing so are forced to deal with the logic. There is nothing Sneaky about it.

It was you, not me, that provided the premise that No Quarterback could win with this Defense. So I asked you a question, that if that is true, and the Quarterback is in his 11th year, and if we are allocating most of our resources (Salary Cap) on the quarterback that we can't afford to shore up the defense. Futhermore, we tried to shore up the defense after the Parsons trade where we used the draft capital for an immediate trade afterwards, and then drafted some defensive players in this last draft. The results being still that No Quarterback could win with this defense. So the question remains, if no quarterback could win with this defense, and we are allocating all our resources on that quarterback, why are you surprised we can't win?

And again, I don't argue anything about the Jerry and his corporate board room way of GM being bad, the coaches not coaching, the defense being bad. I am way more anti Jerry than I have ever been anti Dak. I don't waste my time getting upset at puppets because that's Jerry pulling the strings. And if you go read posts going back from me going back to when contracts were made, I've always argued that this would happen when you allocate all your resources in one place, the offensive line and defensive lines would get holes in them, because that is a lot of players to have to replace constantly, the running game and passing game would eventually get holes, secondary etc. Back then I believe I've pointed to that happening with Green Bay, except the Quarterback there was elite at the time.

And to compound to the problem, is the age of the quarterback, which decreases the likelihood of the quarterback ever getting to a super bowl with this defense as he gets older and his skills decline. I mean three years ago people were bringing up that only few quarterbacks won their first super bowl in their 8th season or later. Who are the people who won it after their 11th season? John Elway (15) and Matt Stafford (13). What would the likelihood be of Dak winning us a championship here, if we have a resource allocation problem of having a good defense and are spending all our resources on quarterback? People were pointing out back then that it wasn't logical.

I mean you got recently upset that you got labeled in with the pro dak crowd, by the people you labeled the "DDS Cult", when you grouping all of his critics in together into being this DDS Cult, whereas not everyone has the same opinions and uses the same logic involving him. I started out happy in 2016, at first happy we had Romo and a young future starting Quarterback who looked promising and was outplaying Wentz on the Eagles. I was happy with the draft, the training camp, the preseason. I eventually excepted the logic that you had to keep playing Dak when romo was injured since he was the quarterback with the hot hand and you don't switch that guy out, which may or may not have been wrong. Year 18 of Dak's Carrier signs were emerging that he may be a gimick quarterback with Defenses saying out loud they had figured him out, and at that point he was, but he went and bettered himself and became more than a gimmick quarterback. But there were other problems that came and went. Eventually, my position was he is good quarterback, who could win under a well run organization, but he is never going to win here, and that position has remained unchanged.

Can I be rude and crude when dealing with people here, sure. But then this place has changed a lot from when people could debated freely and you didn't have all these factions on the board, and people were respectful for the most part. But I tend to not show respect to people who aren't respectful to others, and where someone might of been up for a friendly debate say 2018ish and were met with automatically being labeled an Hater and told to go find another team to follow (and some of the people met with that have been Cowboys fans for longer than some of the people who were saying such things were alive) The plain simple truth is you have several people on this board now who don't like each other, because people can't debate freely without being called names. Some people have already debated their positions years ago, Not everyone on either side holds the same position. The two people on the board that I respect the most because they are neutral are Die Hard and Bob Hayes.

Dak played poor. But he hasn’t played like this all year. It happens. It shouldn’t happen against the Buccs but it did.

So essentially you want Dak to outplay everyone he faces despite them playing the worst defense we’ve seen….ever.

I just don’t know what you guys watch.

Dak struggled. Horrible. But we know that hasn’t been the standard for how he has played this year. He’s been one to the few bright spots.
Na they just want every pass to be money despite the pass rush and receivers or TEs dropping passes that hit them in hands

They been doing this on this site for as long as I can remember. Everything is the QBs fault . Dak played like a steaming pile of dog doo. Any fan should have seen that but he wasn’t the reason they lost

Not sure why they continue to torment themselves or get are just trolls

The defense and coaching has been the 2 biggest issues on this team this year

Cowboys probably had no business even being that close. The stupidity they displayed on defense was astounding. Turpin fumble and letting them convert 2 3rd and forever were 2 big issues that dictated the outcome . The 2 tipped passes didn’t help

Shouldn't an 11yr vet have the will power to change the play to a slant play instead of going with a **** play that he knows shotty just gave him?

Dak is just as wrong as the coach. Dumb and dumber.

If you see something, say something.

Dak doesn't have the stones to tell shotty that this play is crap for this particular situation.
The Coach may have given Dak dumb instructions, but a 11 year vet should have ignored the instructions if bad. Either way, the play is on both. some people trying to say it was supposed to be a run read play, where I just see Dak come out of shotgun immediately look where he is going to do the throwout to, so even if it was a one read play, I don't really see a read if you looking where you throwing it to. It is just excuse making by the excuse makers, IMO. I mean even if that was true, take some time off the clock. But even better scan the field, there wasn't enough pressure like some excuses made. I mean immediately after you had all sorts of claims that weren't on the video, people taking still shots trying to use that as proof that misrepresented what was actually going on.

Then schotty even in his press conference didn't fully help Dak's case by saying that maybe he over coached Dak. I mean, the apologists are going to willfully overlook what over coaching Dak means. So either Schotty made the call for Dak to throwout the ball, and Schotty is taking full responsibility, or he "over coached" Dak to throwout the ball, and then it is on the 11 vet who was over coached. An appolgist will automatically go see Schotty said it was his fault and not Daks, your wrong. A person who is a bit of a skeptic will first question if Schotty is taking the heat of of Dak, then they will know that when people are lying, they usually make mistakes in what they say when they are lying. Then they will see the inconsistency of Schotty saying, "He over coached," Dak, and say wait you saying it is your fault, that you told him to do that, but now you over-coached him? Which is it? Dak took a single read, but as soon as the ball is in his hands, his telegraphs his throw, his head immediately looking in the direction of where the ball is being thrown to, which is out. Single Read or no read?

What the hell are you raving about? I knew you were talking about the incident with the janitor when I took a light hearted shot at your boy Dak.

I keyed in on the latter part of your post

Post#104:

He probably is fragile. To me that has no bearing on our success.

That's when I took my jab, It does in the playoffs.

It's called sarcasm...

And for that you attack me?

Not only do you need to work on establishing a sense of humor, but your reading comprehension could use some work as well.

Like I stated in my last post, you know what i meant. Or maybe any post more than a few sentences long gives you problems.

Instead of getting all up in your feelings about my post, maybe you should work on your own emotional fragility.

Don't bother to respond. I'm done here.
It’s just ironic you’re attacking someone for being fragile yet showing your own fragility lol. You came in the lion’s den now running with your tail between your legs.

“I’m done here”….you are. That we agree.

Agreed.

We have this same stupid conversation every few months. Yes I wanted Dak to get his worth. I never once said it should be here. I verbatim said I wouldn’t pay him or lamb I would’ve rebuilt after the Packers loss.

And for the record when I say I don’t care what Dak gets paid I’m saying I don’t care as far as criticism goes. I don’t criticize guys based on salary. That’s corny. If Dak made 250k yesterday’s performance would still be piss poor. Schoon stinks regardless of how he gets paid.

I’m pro player anti owner especially this owner. I don’t believe owners should make billions but players should take less out or the kidness of their heart. Never have never will. You can keep trolling and putting words in my mouth but you won’t change my opinion on Dak so you might as well quit.
You said two things which can't be reconciled: "Get ya money Dak!" and "Jerry shouldn't pay him that much money". Unless you are stupid or crazy - I don't believe that - you are trying to be slick and have it both ways to make this very post.

Nah, you rode with Dak to get paid for a contract cycle that repeatedly exploits your team. Don't cry or whine or pretend you don't pocket watch. You do.

Best comment under the post from a fan:

"I didn't get mad. Didn't let it ruin my night. In fact, I laughed at most of it, because I've seen it too many times. It should have been fixed ten times over by various coaches, yet there it still is. The Cowboys Crumble, their longtime favorite dance. This team is who Tyson was talking about. Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth. This team folds when they get punched. They were knocked on their *** by a winless, leaderless, team with no business winning that game. Most of this show was about Dak and his inability to read the dissatisfied room, and this has always been who he is. The sixty million dollar man folds like this against good defenses several times each year. It's not really surprising anymore."

Dak gets antsy for no reason. He escaped a possible sack then short armed a wide open CD and was almost picked off, when all he had to do was set his feet and throw it over the top of the defender.
Well, he has a fragile ego. Some guy telling him he is an embarrassment sent him into panic mode, wanting him thrown out. What a pos.

War and peace much?

Old enough to remember when we won championships and what a championship QB really looks like. It aint Dak
It is not Dak
It was not Romo
It was not Bledsoe
It was not Carter
And so on.

One thing in common...jerry
One missing ingredient a great coach like Johnson ( the refactoring GM)

But go ahead, keep complaining g about Dak. You have made it very obvious that's all you want to do....DDS

He also has two number one wide recievers out there too, something Tampa and most teams dont have.

Hes garbage and after he attacked the stadium employee in his press conference for calling him out I cant wait to get rid of that loser.
did you miss where ceedee got hurt and the others kept coughing up the ball?
