Dak talks about his frustrations after the Bucs lost

Okkkkk but this is Dak's quote, not mind ......lol

Because these are the ones that, when we look back at the end of the year and we’re looking at seeding, hell, if we had gotten the game that we were supposed to win, we would be a higher seeding or we’d be better.
:) just trying to be funny, while at the same time saying we don't have to worry about playoff seeding from the way things are going.

It highlights the difference in mindset between the Dallas and Philthy front offices. The Iggs recognized early on, before his rookie contract expired, that Wentz wasn't going to take them to a super bowl. The Iggs want super bowls so they cut bait and sent him packing. Jerry, on the other hand, prefers comfort and continuity.

Think of it like this - if Dak had been drafted by the Iggs he would have been cut early on, and by his 11th season he would be on his 3rd or 4th team by now, maybe even his 5th or 6th like Wentz. Wentz would still be on the Dallas roster to this day if he had been drafted by Jerry.

Jerry simply has different priorities than the Iggs and the rest of the NFL.
What's interesting is Wentz looked really good at first. I saw him make some insanely good throws, but his play declined. I also heard it had something to do with Wentz not being a good leader, and that he lost the respect of his teammates. I'm not sure if that's true, but it's what I heard. Regardless of whether it is, your QBs leadership and character are at least as important as his playing skills.

Here is my problem with him and the team.......as a player, an opponent's record should NEVER dictate your preparation. This statement tells me they saw a 0-4 team and thought they could 'walk in and win'. Here's your team leader saying this and I find it hard to believe Schotty didn't see/notice it during practice. Offense, defense, and special teams ( 3rd straight week) all played poorly. SMH.....where is Parcell when ya need him.

“… It’s these kinds of games that you feel like you should just walk in and win. And I guess that some of us may feel that way, that we’ve got to find a way to make them mean just as much as the big games — you get what I'm saying — the teams that have a lot of wins. Because these are the ones that, when we look back at the end of the year and we’re looking at seeding, hell, if we had gotten the game that we were supposed to win, we would be a higher seeding or we’d be better.

Dak is the Garrett of QBs
Company man
Good regular season
Fold under pressure

I think being QB duties shouldn't automatically designate "team leader". Like we just give them the tag de facto.

I also think the very best ones do display "leadership" characteristics. Not just butt-slaps, sky pointing and new Nikes or e-bikes for the team.

this^^^^^^ 1000%
This is a coaching issue........he has to catch it
No it’s a coach and player issue. Troy Aikman has told the story several times of one particular team (cannot remember who the team was) that the Cowboys would be playing in the upcoming game. Troy said Jimmy Johnson basically said: this team is not very good and you should destroy them and that’s what I expect. Then the Cowboys went out and did just that. Too much effort is put into these two things after losses like this last one: the Cowboys have tons of elite untapped talent, the coaches have to figure out a way to tap into this ocean of elite talent. Failure will mean only one thing: bad coaching. This has been going on for decades now. And you seem like a semi reasonable poster from time to time.

Hey Dak, remember when you and your agent stuck it to the owner for that ridiculous contract you make them sign you to?
