Schotty when asked about Ferg's play and getting Spann-Ford more opportunities

Ferguson is not a good player.

Good players don’t drop passes at the rate he does.

Good players don’t fumble at the rate he does.

Good tight ends block better than he does.

Ferguson is a bad player.
Exactly. Ferguson is a nice guy. Well liked in the lockeroom and throughout the organization. He's even a fan favorite. But none of that matters on Sundays. The missed blocks, drops, fumbles and lack of explosive plays is all that matters. I just wish the FO of this team would STOP falling in love with players and judge them on their FOOTBALL performance. You know, like the good teams do.

Same can be said with Bland and Steele
Yes exactly. Especially Steele. Bland downfall was a head scratcher but maybe loosing Al Harris hurt more than we thought. Both Diggs and Bland went from All Pro corners to JAGs once we lost Al Harris.

The real problem is that Schoonmakers high output production is just a progress stopper for Fergy and Spanish-Ford.

Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer when asked about Jake Ferguson’s play and potentially getting Brevyn Spann-Ford more opportunities:

“At the end of the day, everything’s being evaluated. As we look at this process, no one’s sicker than (Ferguson) about (his dropped pass that turned into an interception). We know what a great player he is, but at the same time, we’re evaluating all that stuff.

“I think we’ve proven that we’ve got really three really good tight ends. Those are the conversations that we’ll have in-house with these guys and make them understand. But if the performance is not where it is, then we’re going to have the conversation, explain to them why, show them the why. There’ll certainly be some adjustments or changes that come.

“But to be very, very clear, Jake Ferguson is a big, big part of what we’re building here offensively moving forward. He’s got a number of touchdowns and the next ball that gets thrown to him, I have no doubt in my mind that he’s going to catch it.”

This man is delusional. He thinks we have 3 great tight ends. Who might those be. Novacek, Witten, and Ditka are all gone. I just cannot imagine how incredibly tone deaf that Schottenheimer is. He thinks we have all the answers in-house. He is Nero and Rome is burning. He will be here two more years and he will be in the growing list of losers that were named HC by the worst GM in all of professioial sports.

That's been my complaint with this team the last 5 years or so. The FO office designates the starters by salary and draft status and there's literally nothing they can do wrong to lose their starting gig. Almost like royalty. Top selling jersey guys DO NOT SIT THE BENCH

The Cowboys staff needs to visit Cowboys Zone more often.

They would get a different opinion about Ferg!
They Need to take off their freaking Blinders Ive never seen a Coach use the word "Process" as much as a Dallas Cowboys Coach.

Bro... get it right. That's "JAG" Fumblesome you're talking about.
My bad! Although...is he even a jag at this point? I know the team has a long list of players that evaporate after getting paid, but this stiff really stands out.
