How to move forward at qb?

I 1000% believe that NOW is the time to trade Dak if he is tradable, because I believe we could get a ton for him to help rebuild the defense. I also would love to see Milton win the job and play this year out even though this won't happen, but I believe by him playing 4 or 5 games would let us know if he could be the future. I'm have feeling that he could be a rising star, but thats just me... This is what I would do if I was in charge. I'm not saying Dak is tradable, but as a long time suffering cowboy fan, I'm already ready for a losing season.

You make some great arguments sir, but no team in NFL history has ever won a post season game facing a number one defense and committing 14 penalties.

Its really good debating with you sir. Much respect to you.

Facts>feelings
In my opinion there is between 0-3 elite QB’s in any season. Sometimes there are zero elite QB’s. Even the elite QB’s need quite a bit of help, but they do more with less help on offense. So many teams make this huge thing over the “franchise” QB and build around them like they are the centerpiece. Only thing is most of them are not centerpieces and never will be. Dak is not a centerpiece, but they have built around him like he is for several years.

Oh yeah, in that 49ers playoff game you mentioned, we as a team committed a league record 14 penalties in that game. No quarterback in history has ever led a team to a post season victory after their team committed 14 penalties. The 49ers also had the number one defense that season as well.
That's not even accurate. You're thinking of the prior season's Prescott failure when the D gave up 23 and he managed 17. The game Captain-Crash mentioned 7 penalties were assessed against the Cowboys, not 14. Pretty weak, young gun.

1. If no quarterback or team in NFL history has ever won a playoff game vs a number one defense or otherwise in NFL history.... why do you expect Dak and the Dallas Cowboys to have pulled that off?
What on earth are you talking about here? The Eagles beat that defense the next week. 31-7!

Well I stand to be corrected. I knew it was one of the 49ers games.

And with that said, the Eagles never beat the 49ers after committing 14 penalties. I don't even know why you brought up the Eagles in a totally different situation. Thats pretty weak lil bro.

This is what I responded to. Your words exactly as you wrote them.

No mention of penalties.

Moot point anyway. You were defending Prescott's poor performance when the defense held the opposition to 19 points by pointing to the 14 penalties. Now that you have been educated how are you going to defend that poor performance?

That performance has no defense, thats why i never defended him for that particular game. For some reason you have this misconception that I defend Dak when he deserves blame. Ive never defended him when he played bad.... I only mentioned that he's not the ONLY reason we loss certain games the way people try to paint that particular picture.

Yes I accidentally left out the 14 penalties in the particular game that I was talking about vs a number one defense.

Dak isn't excused from being criticized when he deserves to criticized. Is that clear enough for you? Now that you've been educated, you have no further reasons to put out any more false narratives that I defended people that ive actually criticized myself when the criticism was earned.

Im glad we have that cleared up.

You didn't say this about the 19-12 loss?

Oh yeah, in that 49ers playoff game you mentioned, we as a team committed a league record 14 penalties in that game. No quarterback in history has ever led a team to a post season victory after their team committed 14 penalties.

There was no false narrative being pushed. Just the facts.

Embarrassing.

I'd take the 2016 version of Dak in the Playoffs over the current one, even if this version is more experienced and talented. The 2016 version, played with instincts and didn't crack under pressure. This version of Dak, folds with pressure. That's big game and post season, which is my main concern.
You are not thinking clearly sir. He started slow in that game...just like a rookie would. Romo had the same problem against the Giants. He wasn't ready for championships and neither was Prescott in 2016. Elliott carried him heavily that year with over 2,000 all purpose yards. When the o-line regressed he had to learn how to be a better pocket passer. He was nowhere until the arrival of Amari Cooper. He was NEVER going to win a superbowl in 2016. No rookie has ever done it.

At that salary point, the quarterback is being paid to overcome bad coaching, poor run games, and flawed designs. If the scheme has to be absolutely perfect for the quarterback to win in January, the financial math makes it incredibly difficult to build a deep enough roster around him.
Right. This is irrational. So if Schottenheimer calls vertical routes all night, refuses to run the ball and doesn't give his quarterback an out underneath he's supposed to just throw it up and hope for the best? Schottenheimer made his own offense "feast or famine" Thursday night and you should be worried more about that crap happening again going forward...not to mention a tight end who should be benched immediately.

So if the defense continues to be butt-horrible Prescott is then supposed to be the #1 QBR quarterback every Sunday...in spite of his HC's lame-brained play-calling and game-planning? Irrational...and unrealistic.

Sidenote: according to a nugget I read a couple of months ago, in 2027, multiple high-level QBs could change teams.
* Burrow
* Lamar Jackson
* CJ Stroud
* Baker Mayfield
* Jalen Hurts
* Deshaun Watson
I just think it would be fun to watch and root for someone else at this point. I like how Brock purdy can slide left it looks cool
