How to move forward at qb?

OK, this is just funny!!!! You do realize you just called Stroud and Watson high level QBs, right? Hurts sure isn't looking like one either!!!
Sure, I do, but not based on performance but next contract value.........every player I listed expects to sign an extension or new deal north of $40-45M.

Cutting Dak this year would result in a $131m dead cap hit.
I know you are responding to another post. I can't imagine ANY fan thinking Dak Prescott will be cut/released. Trade, yes.......in fact, I was just reviewing his contract last week. Didn't realize a post 6/1 trade actually saves $45M of the 2027 $131M dead cap hit but it doesn't matter. They are focused on a 2-year window ending in 2028.

I'd take the 2016 version of Dak in the Playoffs over the current one, even if this version is more experienced and talented. The 2016 version, played with instincts and didn't crack under pressure. This version of Dak, folds with pressure. That's big game and post season, which is my main concern.
I agree that in 2016 he played loose and didn't feel pressure. In 2017, his flaws begin to show. Other teams had looked at his film & forced him to play differently. He couldn't adapt. He couldn't make the throws to beat those coverages. Players around the league began to call him out. HE realized he wasn't good enough and ever since then he has known deep down. That's the real reason he gets the profuse sweating & wide eyes when he knows he's about to face a real opponent or tough situation. Also why he tries to talk himself up. He desperately wants to believe he can be a clutch player ..... but deep down, he knows differently.

Those who put the sins of a coaching staff and a 53 man football team that consists of 3 different units on one player, is just doomed.
Since I'm not arguing that, your post doesn't fit as a response.

Most posters are not into Dakspew.

who is doing that? simply saying the one player is a perennial under performer and a plan to move on from him should have already happened.

Amari Cooper had that look several times a week
A thousand likes for this!!

I pointed it out at the time and the Dakistans went crazy saying it never happened, I was a hater, etc..

I'll never forget Amari standing a couple hards from the sidelines with his arms out like a hoop staring back at "their" QB like all you had to do was put it anywhere between me & the sideline.

You said who is doing that? LOOOOOOL!!! Thats a joke right? Well if you don't know, your answers are in all of the post game threads after our losses.

You said he's a perennial under performer? Thats fair, I respect your opinion. For some reason he's also a perennial top 10 quarterback his whole career and in the last 2 seasons, including this one, he's been atleast top 4, top 5.

I agree that a plan to move on from him should be happening because he isn't getting any younger.

Two quick questions for you...

1. For context, give me the names of other perennial under performers at quarterback who are always perennial top 5, top 10 quarterbacks their whole career for 10 years (years they finished the season healthy)? Give a few names as an example.

2. What other quarterbacks in the league will "over perform" and carry a 32nd ranked defense anywhere, how many "over performing" quarterbacks have carried 32nd ranked defenses to significant heights?

All NFL personnel disagree w/ you.

Why do you think he's better?
It's just my opinion....don't really care if the NFL agrees or not. :)

We've never really had a running QB for quite some time (maybe Q?)...so not sure personnel or scheme can really take advantage of it.

Not sure he's even had enough playiong time to flesh out his own skillset.

You all are ridiculous,

Prescott is still playing at a high level and is one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

He’s in great shape, and quarterbacks can easily play past 35 at a high level; we’ve all seen it. He’s not going anywhere for the next two or three seasons and will probably stay, but as a fan of his, and yes, I was also a Romo fan,

I’m a Cowboys fan who’s allowed to like them both equally. I hope he goes and gets a ring somewhere else, like Stafford, Manning, and some of the other guys. Even Sam Darnold took the long way out, and Prescott can do the same. He shouldn’t sign a new deal or extension and should ask for a trade. He needs to be reasonable wherever he goes because of his big contract. Go ring chasing now while you still can, get out of Dallas because the fans don’t appreciate you. It’s not about Jerry or losing; it’s about this ridiculous fan base that either hated Romo or hated Prescott and didn’t realize how good these two really were. They’re homegrown Dallas Cowboys, and somehow, they get disrespected here, and I’m absolutely sick of it. I hope he leaves for his sake.

Even if he goes to a contender or a rival of ours, I’ll pull for him. I usually don’t do that, once our guys leave, they’re the enemy, but you know what? I hope he goes and gets a ring and shoves it in everyone’s faces because he’s good enough to win one, though not by himself. He’s not Superman.
I think some people don't watch much NFL football.

You think Milton is better than what he seems, meaning what? He's on the practice squad for a reason. But then again, I remember you were one of those clowns who said Cooper Rush was better than Dak.

LOOOOOOL!!!!

But the most telling comment you made is "I don't really care if the NFL agrees or not". This is pure gold!!! You think you know more about evaluating NFL quarterback talent than NFL GMs and coaches.....

Ahhhh.... I couldn't thank you more for saying that, because this is the greatest example of how low your football IQ is.

You are welcome to review them. When discussing a certain player (regardless of position), we are discussing that players contributions to success or failure. It doesn't mean they are the only issue. I & we have explained that ad nauseum yet some of you keep falling back on this diversion tactic because you have no legitimate arguments that will excuse said player.

Nope I never said that. I told you he was better than what you said he was.

I told you for a "noodle arm" how come he wins games. I think it was you/TMC that said the team is playiing harder for him and I asked how THAT could be?

And nope...still don't care what you or the NFL thinks. But do carry on...it hilarious.

When your last 2 decades have depended on absolute luck in that an UDFA and a 4th rounder totally overperformed at tbe most important position on the field...

Let's just say I don't have a whole lot of confidence in this Cowboy think tank group to pick the right one.

Paxton Lynch, Connor Cook or Manziel anyone?

These threads always come up when he has an off game. Two INTs off the hands of the receivers. Same old people start these threads on the board.
That’s right! And at the end of every season when he craps the bed vs high level defenses. Poor ole Dink can’t catch a break in big D. I wish he’d take his 60 million and move on to another team. I mean he’s never won anything going back to high school or college but I’m sure NEXT year is his year. Dink is nothing but a pig with lipstick.
