This organization is so unlikeable

He was fired for conduct detrimental to the team. This is actually really obvious. Any employee that performs actions that could cost the employer money is usually fired.

I don't understand how some don't seem to get this.
From what I understand the guy wasn't a stadium or Cowboys employee, so how could anyone within the organization say his comment was detrimental to the team? He wasn't obligated to follow Jerry's rules.

If Dak had been the bigger man and just ignored the guy we wouldn't be having these discussions now

He worked as a third party shuttle car driver not sure how that relates to working for the Cowboys.

Other than maybe his employer worked for them
Somebody needs to do a deeper dive.
But on the surface it doesn't look like he worked directly for the Cowboys so I don't know about this whole conduct detrimental to the team.
Seems more like a cab driver voicing his opinion.

What's funny is the guy wasn't even a Cowboys fan.

And he had to know there could be consequences saying that to the leader of the team and I use that word loosely.

But it definitely tells you how bad the performance was when a guy just can't hold it back and has to tell the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys how embarrassing he was.

If that doesn't tell you where this team's at nothing does what a joke.

The guy may have been dumb for saying it but in the end he'll be made out the hero and Dak will be slandered all over the media for being a punk and getting him fired.

The guy will easily get another job but Daks popularity just took a big hit with the fan base who is probably working guys that feel the same way it was a total embarrassment
It says something when that guy was showing more passion about the Cowboys getting embarrassed, and caring more than some of our fans about it after the game. Well we've been in such situation too watching games, and going wow, and feeling sorry for the team that got embarrassed and said so in our living rooms even though we're not fans. That's pretty much what he is doing. The thing is a lot of people who are supposed to be fans, have let apathy set in, and shrug it off, pretend it away.

Jerry got down on his knees and said to dak, "Who's a big boy? Come here, big boy"* Patted him on the head.*

When all is said and done it will be Dak who has done something detrimental to the team by flexing his muscles and getting a cab driver fired.

The regular working guy who supports the team and watches the games definitely isn't buying into the cab driver losing his job for uttering the words embarrassing.

Especially when any true fan feels the exact same way it was embarrassing.
Most except for Rockport are tired of Dak getting paid a king's Ransom to be embarrassing and Jerry lying to US every year only to keep the team players or coaches away from actually competing.

I predict the cab driver is the hero and Dak Prescott gets labeled a bully and a soft little punk

Yep and if Dak was the bigger man the fire company wouldn't have to come and get him out of the tree every time a Rottweiler showed up on defense

It certainly doesn't help the Image of the Cowboys locker room being a Rich Guy Country club enviornment. Mean on one side you have someone who felt his mansion wasn't good enough, so he blew it up to build a bigger mansion over it, who said "Get him out of here!" On the other side you have a working guy, who cared more than the players, and spoke outloud.

Heck, if this was Aikman, he would've been saying, "This is an embarrassment" after that loss. It is the players that should be saying and realizing it.

Dak was absolutely a dumb punk for responding.

Does that mean Brian schottenheimer should have been fired after the Ravens game because of his horrible coaching and clock management.

It was surely detrimental to the team LOL
Yes.

Jerry runs this thing like his own personal little pleasure shop, doing whatever satisfies his own little num nums. Most realize, he is a bad GM, not sure most realize just how horrific he is at it. Every decision is based on making Jerry happy and satisfying his ego.

He wasn't a team employee? Then how did Jerry fire him?

OK that makes it really weird then.

And it makes even more sense. This company would be employed by Jerry. The company absolutely cannot allow this type of behavior from their employees as it would cost them major business. And I would imagine the contract to provide services for Jerry is a big one, making Jerry a major contract.

Dak is becoming more and more unlikable. My problem with him was always his play. I always thought Dak was a good guy personally. The more he talks the worse I feel about him. He talks big and never backs it up. He wants to get mad, he should be mad at himself or the team. I remember a few weeks ago when he was talking about the fans. Now this. Dak made this a story. Dak just should shut up.

Kinda weird how people are trying so desperately to polarize this mess.

The guy who said it was dumb, Dak was dumb for responding. Both are blatantly true.

For sure and bottom line is Jerry's a billionaire many times over and if it's really a burr in his behind.
He pretty much has the resources to make anyone go away one way or another.

This is all very true.
I believe what makes this so polarizing is Dak being the quarterback of the most valuable team in all of sports.

And Dak being the highest paid player in the NFL.
And because he has so much people are looking at it in a David and Goliath type mode.

Just my opinion but I think this paints Dak as very mentally soft and willing to use his influence to financially hurt a much less established man and his family.

Definitely not a good look for Dak or the team in the eyes of the general working guy.

You know it's bad when even Michael Irvin is calling him out.

I think the only friend he's got left is Rockport LOL
