New low for The N.F.C. Least

I think a big issue is there was a lot of turnover this year from coaching to personnel. I don’t know if that’s anymore than normal but in regards to the NFC East you got 3 new DCs, one new head coach….one new OC…..Eagles core is completely different now with Jergens, AJ and Lane gone.

Giants have a completely new team and have a grip of injuries.

Cowboys….you know the mess they have.

Commanders have a new DC and all knew personnel and Jayden coming back from injury.

It’s early in the season.

Someone will eventually peak at the right time. Part of me wants to say Giants but it’s hard to trust a Jameis led team.
It’ll be Philly, imo. They should’ve won the last two games against the Rams and Jacksonville, two playoff teams. They’re definitely the best team in the nfc Least.

The Washington debacle could go either way. Ultimately it's on Quinn, but does a coach have to remind a veteran player where they are in regard to the clock? As in don't run the ball with no timeouts and seconds left on the clock? Kind of like when Norv Turner said about Gus Frerotte, " I never thought I'd need to tell a player not to head butt a wall". Which coincidentally was against the Giants.

If the Giants have their starting QB, they are the best team in the Division. They may still be. They have the only coach with a brain.

Schotty crapped himself against the Ravens. Sirianni is a dunce. That's the time to kick it through the endzone. The Jags had no timeouts. They can do what the Ravens did to us. They would have needed a 65 yard TD on one play.

Then the Washington bonehead play to end the game. I think QB Daniels thought they had a TO. You only get 2 in overtime. C'mon, you're an NFL QB, you have to know this. Their coach is a stiff too. What are you running a play for at that time? Did he also think they had a 3rd TO?

It could be but what troubles me is in years past they win those games. They aren’t now. No Saquon or AJ. The offense is the worst I’ve seen. They will get the ball at mid field and not score. They play up or down to their competition they could’ve easily lost to a bad Titans team.

Problem is I don’t think Dart is any better than Jameis. Especially the Jameis that played yesterday. Giants running game is suspect….i think it’s just early for them. They want to win in the trenches but he’s still developing it.

I just don't think Dart is the turnover machine Winston can be. But then again, I haven't seen enough of Dart to know for sure.

Winston was good yesterday. But only after they were down 27-13 and Washington went into that semi prevent defense where they allow everything in front of them all the way into the endzone. I'm not sure if I should credit Winston, or blame the D. They went into that D with too much time on the clock.

I watched a lot of football yesterday….and while I’m still pissed at the Cowboys….i realized a lot of my issues with the Cowboys seems to be league wide. There’s a true coaching problem and analytics may actually be coaching teams now. Common sense in coaching is gone.
It’s been so bad across it makes you wonder…..esp with the abundance of gambling now on every aspect of a game. Are these “pros” really that dumb bc it’s almost too much to believe that. Kids playing in madden tournaments play smarter than a lot of what we’ve seen from the real “pros” this season

That's a good point. But seems like the whole league does prevent when up like that.

Yeah it's coming off very amateurish.

I think we can actually have a decent team, offensively, Dak needs to be more of a leader on the field, I would have ripped into Ferguson when he dropped the ball that hit him in the face mask, rip CeeDee and Pickens when they start their primadonna crap etc..show them that he cares....Defensively, Porter should be a huge help, a little like Deion was when we brought him in, if he can forget about his contract and just play football. Parker, needs to take these 10 days and settle on a scheme that best uses our talent.....
I’m definitely trading Pickens for pick(s).

Just curious, does your boy Quinn run the defense? If not, doesn’t he have any say on what kind of defense they should be playing? After all, didn’t he get that HC job because he has proven he has a great mind for scripting a defense? I can’t imagine he would just watch his defense play after play being abused without making some adjustment.

I couldn’t believe Washington ,

As soon as he dropped back I was like oh he doesn’t know what he’s doing they’re gonna lose

I Don’t want Dallas to be the least worst of 4 dumb teams

I want my team
To be dope I want a new quarterback

Winston is a good back up to have. He has experience and can throw TDs. But, he does not have the upside (ceiling) that Dart has for primarily two reasons:
1. Mobility (you saw what Dart can bring in game 1)
2. Propensity for turnovers (see his resume for proof)

But like I said, I prefer Winston to be a guy filling in for a couple of weeks u til the #1 gets it back together again. I’m a bit uneasy thinking about him playing every game. Up until now, we have only played one playoff caliber team- Rams- and we got punched out…and yes Winston looked horrible. I don’t think he was prepared probably not expecting Dart to get injured on the first offensive series.

We have the Jaguars, 49ers, Seahawks, and Eagles twice waiting for us. Plenty of time left to judge against higher echelon teams.

Disclaimer: I really don’t TODAY consider the Eagles to be “high echelon” due to the many changes and injuries they have been dealing with.

The other variable you also need to look at is the GM and what power the GM has over the coach? (Honestly, if I'm the owner of the Giants, I'm listening more to the coach than the GM in the scenario LOL).

Let's face it, as bad as Quinn is, take all the head coaches and GM's in the NFC east on each team, and who is at the bottom of the barrel in the division? Sad to say, my money is on Jerry and Shotty. THAT'S what scares me no matter how the season plays out for the Cowboys.

It's the exact defense he used when he was with the Cowboys at times. More specifically, when we were up 20-19 against the Dolphins back on Christmas eve of 2023. Why he switched to that up only a point with over a minute left is beyond me. Miami nickel and dimed us into the redzone and kicked the game winning chip shot. It's a defense a lot of teams use when winning. It's not prevent. It's just meant to slow the offense down so that they use up clock. Hope for a turnover (unlikely), or a penalty to put the offense behind the sticks. But you can't do it with too much time on the clock.

They gave up 13 points in 3 and a half quarters. Went to that D and gave up two touchdowns in just under 8 minutes I think.
