Why do you want to make the playoffs?

There are factions that only really come here to fight with each. Extreme homerism and extreme defeatism. He talks up his battles with the the Stallone Brothers (Rocky and Rambo) alot. So I think he is just here to bring battle to them

It's amazing to me...how much time and bandwidth we waste on telling other people how to fan...one way or the other.

And no...I'm not absolving myself from that!

If anything...I am expressing frustration at the way this team simply cannot go into the playoffs as a good, disciplined cohesive unit.

I never told anyone to not watch, not be a fan, or not cheer them on.

I keep seeing this recurring theme here about wanting to make the playoffs, and while I get it, I really dont.

Being on this forum I am convinced a lot of you dont watch other football teams play.

If Dallas squeaks into the playoffs, it will be to get embarrassed nationally. There is no amount of "growth" this defense can have this season that will help them against LA, SF, or a host of other NFC teams that run hard, and play to win.

So other than your own "fan" inside, which makes me question the word because any self respecting fan wouldnt want to just get there so they can be "right".

This team needs an exorcism and the only way that happens is if they lose, a lot, and the NFL pulls their primetime slots.

You want to know when Jerry will care? When that happens.

So please, stop cheering for other teams to lose, get hurt, just so the lowly Cowboys can sneak in to get curb stomped by SF, again.

Or please explain to me why you even want to get there. You know this is going to happen. It is not a what if.

Unfortunately the only way up from here is the very bottom. I’m done rooting for this team. I won’t even watch the games anymore until Jerry is dead. So my hope is they lose every game and are just a laughingstock of the league so these are the last moments Jerry remembers as he inches closer to death. If change were ever possible, the only way i see Jerry doing anything is if they were 0-17 bad. And even then I don’t think he would do anything any different. But hey, I can hope

I kind of agree. If we were the type of team who barely made the playoffs, got ourselves together, and rose to the occasion to make a real run for it, I could see the desire for wanting it.

But history has shown that’s never the case, we look terrible, and are outclassed and out-coached by our opponents during an embarrassing playoff launch.

I get it, but I’d rather watch them compete even if they fail rather than have the season end in December.

No we aren't winning a SB, but just maybe we show some improvement during the season and grow throughout the year and prove what we can do as we enter next year and add some additional talent and that we don't quit like a bunch of entitled message board poster babies who never put a helmet on or played their heart out and left it all on the field next to a teammate who did the same after an entire offseason of preparation and in-season games of risking injury and taking hits would like the team to do

Spare me your "you never played" ive competed in multiple sports at multiple levels and you know what I never did? Celebrate before a match, assume the win.

Negativity game day, in the first quarter, so many times , people had us losing and then we come back and win
It’s just a culture and it’s ridiculous, and it’s embarrassing, I believe people should be proud of their team win, lose or draw

1. The team will be owned by a Jones for the foreseeable future.
2. SJ seems ready to be the next Owner/GM/mouth piece. Say we go 2-15, what will that change? You think a 84 year old won't be stubborn? You think SJ will want to step back?
3. I may not care for the owner(s) but it is what it is.
4. Dallas is too big to fail or actually lose money. Jerry was a business genius and we have tons of fans domestically and internationally.
5. If the team is going to lose their last game, might as well be in the playoffs. Not like this team will actually do much with the draft up high. Our best player taken in the top half has either been a guard or an edge that we traded away for 2 1st and Clark.
