ESPN Analytics: Cowboys win the division

Well…that’s a clickbait title if ever I’ve read one.
I don’t know if that is something to be proud of…being the best team in the NFC Least.
One would think that after 30 years and counting of futility, Jerry would realize his way of doing things just doesn’t work. But you have to be incredulous in how he spins disappointment into hope year-after-year and peddles it to the fans, who continue to buy the merch and tickets to the games.

Not sure I’ve seen many fans say they regret their team winning a Super Bowl.

That confirmed Jerry was right. Most fans wouldnt trade a SB for 30 years of futility.

One or 2 when you go all in and rebuild, yeah. 30 years? No.

There are teams with 60 years of futility.

There are twelve teams that have never won even a single Super Bowl and four of those have never even been to a Super Bowl and lost.

He wouldn't have had a choice.

THEY being me know that Jerry couldn't sell

"I've never won without Jimmy".
If the past 31 years haven't convinced Jerry, missing the Super Bowl in 1995-96 wouldn't have, either.

He's always thought his way was the right way, no matter what.

Especially against Pittsburgh, though I have often wondered if an alternate universe exists where Jerry bought San Diego instead, and the Cowboys won more SB's over time than the three with Jimmy's cooking.

Are any of them. Americas team? With 5 SB wins? And the history Dallas has?

You sound like Fisher.

We should just be happy we won and never expect to win or complain again.

Right?

The weakest possible argument is "well other teams havent won any!"

The Commanders have been to a NFCCG more recently than the Dallas Cowboys.

The NY Giants have won 2.

The Eagles have won 2.

All of those in the last 30 years.

All of them except the Browns have been to a championship more recently than Dallas has, though.

I guess Browns fans can always point out their AAFC world championships from the late 1940s since we are having to reach back so far for glory to make us seem less sucky than other franchises that have actually mattered once or twice in the 21st Century.

It's a weak argument because it is the "whataboutism" fallacy. Pointing out other failures is never an excuse for your own. It even reinforces the loser mindset.

True, though it should be noted teams like the Browns, Cardinals, and Lions won NFL titles before it was called the Super Bowl. They have history, it's just far removed history.

I was simply pointing out how ludicrous it is to regret a Super Bowl.

If by some crazy series of events, what I’m hearing is that you will be rooting for the other team because Jones and Schottenheimer winning is worse that’s winning number 6.
