ESPN Analytics: Cowboys win the division

I was simply pointing out how ludicrous it is to regret a Super Bowl.

If by some crazy series of events, what I’m hearing is that you will be rooting for the other team because Jones and Schottenheimer winning is worse that’s winning number 6.
not at all.

Also know they aren’t getting there. Because of the guy who thinks he put together a winning team in 1995.

I just paid off my mortgage doing it for the last 3 years. And thanks to the crappy Cowboys, it was not hard at all.
Congratulations......it always feels great to not be controlled by the man any more.

Now you can take that monthly amount and get 5% back on from a CD with zero risk if thats your bag.

Make the playoffs with a losing record possibly and probably because the rest of the division is even worse.....nah I dont like backing into the playoffs because everyone else looses.......but jerry would run this as a successful season.
How is it backing into the playoffs? It means you won more games than the other 3 teams. It will absolutely take more wins than Warshington and NY because of their tie - no tiebreaker in play with them. Philly could be the same in wins and come down to tiebreakers.

Didn’t Seattle in the Holmgren days win the West with a losing record and beat heavily favored Brees led N’awlins team in the 1st round?

The Tampa game for starters. Going for two while down by what would have been 7 if you kick the PAT was brain dead. No coach prior to "analytics" makes that call, because it's poor strategy.
It was the right decision. Lots of other bad ones, but not that one.

Can you explain how that caused or even contributed to the loss?

Is the rest of the division going to lose every week?

This team isnt touching a division title
The Eagles have won a LOT of very close one possession games over the years. Eventually they will regress toward the mean and lose several winnable games.

I think the Eagles are like a powder keg waiting to implode. Their defense will keep them in a lot of games. But their offense is NOT good.

Washington will do its usual roll over and play dead. Giants are the real completion, but without Dart and playing Winston, it’s going to be hard for them to have consistency on offense. Winston will eventually Winston and throw some picks and some games.

I think our offense should remain solid throughout the year and will keep us in almost every game. Defense will eventually improve SOME. I’m not saying good, but possibly solid in short streaks and opportunistic. We are WAY past due for a few turnovers to go our way.

Because with a losing record you dont belong in the playoffs IMO.......maybe you win 1 more game that 3 other teams because of the division setup but you still suck compared to the rest of the nfl......but Jerry would love this way in.... and spin it as a successful season.....Did Holmgren/seattle win the SB that year? or even get in it?

You have a right to your opinion that the cream of the Division crap aren't playoff worthy. But the point about the Seahawks not playing in the Super Bowl is invalid in my opinion.

Neither did the Falcons (13-3), Bears (11-5), Eagles (10-6) or Saints (11-5).

Or the Patriots (14-2), Ravens (12-4), Jets (11-5), Colts (10-6) or Chiefs (10-6) from the AFC.

Since the Thanksgiving game last season, the Cowboys are 2-0 against the Commanders and 1-7 against the rest of the league.

And whoever takes the division this season is one and done in the playoffs.

I can't remember the last time the NFC East was this pathetic.

I agree it was stupid but it didn’t cost us the game. It may have but they didn’t give you the chance to be proven right

You are always controlled by the man, even when you pay off your home. It’s called property taxes. Have you seen what they pay in California?
