Joey Porter Jr. said he is on the back end of the illness

I come to this board probably 4-10 times a day, every day of the year, and honestly don't think I've ever heard of Ameer Speed.

I wouldn’t admit that if I were you. Risen has posted several posts about Speed.

this guy is a joke trying to make sure he does not get hurt so he can get a big payday. can not play with a common cold unreal.
I think you are right....and I don't blame him. This is the risk the Steelers and/or the Cowboys take when they are getting his labor for "cheap" this year. They want the cheap labor for this year...and he is trying to protect his future big payday. Neither side is wrong per se...but as a fan...since we don't get a dime either way...our main concern is having the best talent on the field so we can get the outcome we as fans want...but it is BUSINESS for the team and player

Joey Porter Jr. said he is on the back end of the illness that cost him the chance to play against Tampa Bay.He said he started getting sick the day of the game.“My throat was itchy in the morning when we had our little walkthrough and I was trying to get on top of it,” Porter said. “I told them about it. They gave me the right stuff for it and then throughout the day it just kept getting worse and worse. And on my way to the game, that's when I realized when I was throwing up outside of my Uber on the way to the game. So it was brutal, not going to lie.”Porter said he was ready for a larger role vs. the Bucs and will be ready a larger one vs. the Packers.“That's what I'm shooting for,” Porter said. “That's what they're shooting for as well.”

Well, I should hope so. You should recover for that in 3 to 7 days. I get he's having some lingering effects. Some other teams are feeling it too. There's players that have missing practice because of the same flu or whatever is going around. But I hope they rebound real soon, because we need all hands on deck.

UFL player we picked up after he had a good season there. He's tall and fast but he has essentially bounced around the league since he was drafted by New England in 2023. Spent that year with Indianapolis after being cut by the Patriots. Spent the next year with Chicago, and the next with Cleveland/Houston. We like our UFL guys.

I learned very quickly not to judge any player till they've gotten the benefit of CP's mentorship, edification and wisdom.

So if he was puking on Thursday night and that was the front end. Now he is at the rear end, Jerry might consider keeping some dude wipes on the sidelines.

Don't worry jpj, just make sure you're healthy enough to locate the ball when it's coming your way

Geez take some vitamins already man. I cant remember the last time I was sick for damn near a week.
